2010 TSUN arguments & shenanigans (in-season)

Okay, I saw this as a scUM poster's signature:

Excuse me? In what fucking world were they national champions in 1985??? :slappy: Fuck it, if that's the case, I'm claiming 1998, 1996, 1993, 1979, 1975 and a few others as well. John F. Cooper, 3 time National Champion!

1985 was the MGR....no one recognizes it by itself. Therefore that poster is just reaffirming that he's an idiot.

Ah, going the Alabama route...claim anything awarded by any high school newspaper across the country.

Funny thing is he doesn't even claim a B10 title for 1985 in his cute little banner there...

and our drum major is way better than both of theirs, at least we still have that

Oh man, when their DM fell on his butt trying to do the back bend I bet he just wanted the ground to open up beneath him (I'm pretty sure it was the guy and not the girl DM who fell). Definitely made it look sweet when our DM came out and did the back bend without his hat on.

Re: Denard tells the team !!!
Denard just had a BAD HAIR DAY!! Every QB
has a bad day throwing. Let's just hope he
rebounds against Iowa and throws lazer's.
Oh, and the receivers don't drop them. I love
how he runs at the line and holds up and
throws it to a receiver.

Now, this D just seems tooooo slooooow
at times and can't shed a blocker worth a
damn !! Time to man up on D and kick some
Iowa a$$ ----Look what happened to Alabama's
Defense----Maybe with a little luck---------

Ah yes, Denard's hair comes up yet again....I thought I saw all of the stupidest posts possible on that site but this one has got to be in the top ten.

Apparently, DRob gave a speech to the team after the loss yesterday. I think Iowa is fucked this week.

Different perspective
Was at the game yesterday and I'm wondering what game most of you were watching. D played it's best game of the first 6 games. Definite improvement over previous games. And good enough to win the game if it had gotten any help from the O. Yeah, I know they gave up 3 homerun plays for TDs. The 2 runs came on identical plays where a gap was left unmanned by the same player whom I am not going to call out on a public message board. The long TD pass was a blown coverage by a true frosh CB who is not yet ready for primetime. Had Woolfolk not gone down, this kid would definitely be a RS. Statistically, the D had 2 sacks, 6 TFL, and allowed only 4 of 13 3rd down conversions. Not a bad day. How all of this gets anyone to a conclusion that GR sucks as DC is beyond me. He was not my #1 choice for DC, and there are others today I'd rather have in his place. But the guy doesn't have much to work with and I see improvement through 6 games. Asking for more than that is like asking for a miracle worker.

P.S. Good to see Roh back at DE where he belongs. Continue to feel Jibreel Black is the next BG...an example of an 18 yo who is ready both mentally and physically to contribute. BWC got buried yesterday when MM left the game. Move him to OL already, he plays too high to be effective on DL.

so um.......

in what world is giving up 34 points and 536 total yards "not that bad" of a defensive performance?

Hire Harbaugh and give him 5 years.

I'm out in San Fran for a work this week. I spent yesterday watching football with a friend who lives out here. I mentioned Harbaugh and the fact that after all that happened at tsun that they would likely love to have him back... His response was: "Not a chance. Stanford wouldn't let him go and he's king of the world out here. Why would he leave this for that?"

That was said before the SC / Stanford game. He's now 3/4 in games vs. the condoms... There's no way in hell the Stanford alumni base wouldn't personally fund a seven figure raise for the guy if that would keep him here.

Not only that... the best defensive performance of the season thus far!

Seriously, what are the expectations for their football team up there? If they're seriously this low, they should sign Dick up for the next decade because he's doing a hell of a job.
