What is going on this year? Accidents galore. Armstrong cycled alone today and fell to 50 seconds behind Contadore.

The last two days? I dunno. Today it was the cobblestones. Armstrong was looking decent for a while - nearly in touch with the lead group - but popped a tire and never quite made it back Contador, Evans & Andy Schleck were all able to take time on him.

Frank Schleck took another nasty wreck and was taken to a hospital. He suffered a broken clavicle and his TdF is done.

Chavanel, the wearer of the maillot jaune had a rough day as well. He didn't look like he had it in him to keep up on the bumpy roads, but he also suffered multiple blown tires. Cancellara is back in yellow.
