2010 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

5. Michael Dyer (RB) Little Rock Christian HS / Arkansas
- EA Sports Sophomore of the Year who rushed for over 3,000 yards is dubbed Little D-Mac for a reason.

Plays for my son's high school team. Watched most of his games last year. Motor that never stops, beautiful to watch that type of aggression. Pretty good LB too, but his future is as a RB. Perfect style runner for tOSU although I doubt they'll sniff much over here in Little Rock.

***** 19. Prince Shembo (DE) Ardrey Kell HS / North Carolina
- Cool name to go along with 13 sacks and 5 FR as a sophomore makes him a hot commodity.
From the link in the original post..

This kid didn't live up to the hype in our scrimmage at all. He played too high and didn't have the impact that the #19 player in the nation should have. In may be the fact that they ran a 3-3-5 but he didn't play well.

Of note:

Darryl Baldwin:

Baldwin has an offer list that rivals anybody else in the Midwest with powers like Illinois, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State and West Virginia already on board. Baldwin is built like few others with a great 6-6, 240-pound frame.

Robert Bolden:

In an amazing 2010 quarterback class in Michigan, many call Bolden the best in the bunch. He thinks he brings a lot of things to the table that make him a solid quarterback. "Confidence, speed, leadership, good mechanics and the ability to remain calm and pull all these things together are what I think allows me to be the best out there," Bolden said.

Corey Brown:

Brown rushed for 1,019 yards and nine scores and caught 15 passes for 281 yards and four more touchdowns as a sophomore. He tore his MCL early in his junior year after starting off with 13 scores in his first three games.

Derrick Bryant:

One of the most physically gifted defensive players in the Midwest, Bryant has a 6-foot-4, 230-pound frame and was timed at 4.55-seconds in the 40-yard dash at a combine this summer. Considered the leader of one of the top defensive units in all of Ohio.

Christian Bryant:

Glenville always seems to have elite players and it's not any different in the 2010 class with Bryant patrolling the defensive backfield. He first emerged at the Elite Training Camp where he held his own against the top players in Ohio. He is very comfortable in space and has very good turn and run capabilities coming out of his backpedal. The best part of Bryant's game is that he has tremendous upside and will only get better.

Jayrone Elliot:

Glenville’s defense is loaded with several big time juniors, but the name that has recently surfaced with a solid junior season is Elliott. The 6-foot-3, 200-pounder flies around all over the field and makes a ton of big plays and big hits. His coach also talks about his ability to help out in coverage situations.

C.J. Fiedorowicz:

Arizona, Duke, Indiana, Iowa, LSU, Notre Dame, Wisconsin and others can't be wrong. Fiedorowicz has been a household name in Illinois since he started in football, basketball and baseball. With his size and playmaking ability, he should be one of the top tight ends in the nation for next season. He could also be recruited in basketball.

Khairi Fortt:

Scouting Report: Fortt is a big linebacker with very long arms and excellent lateral quickness. He's very active, scrapes off blockers well and is effective in coverage due to his length. At the NIKE Camp at Penn State last spring he was one of the linebacker standouts in the one-on-one drills.

Devin Gardner:

Started his freshmen and sophomore years at U of Detroit Jesuit. Transferred to Inkster in January 2008 and had a very successful junior season. Gardner is a solid passer, but his ability to run when the pocket breaks down is what makes his game even more deadly.

William Gholston:

Gholston's cousin is current New York Jet and 2008 first round draft pick Vernon Gholston, who played his college ball at Ohio State. Much like his cousin was, William has really filled out a lot physically between his sophomore and junior seasons. He’s also done a tremendous job in 2008, dominating as a pass rusher from his outside linebacker/defensive end spot.

Jordan Haden:

Haden is the younger brother of Florida cornerback Joe Haden and Boston College running back Josh Haden. He is the biggest of the trio at this stage of development and projects as either a safety or linebacker at the next level. Haden’s father, Joe Sr., trains athletes in the Maryland area.

Senatrel Henderson:

FIVE-STAR CANDIDATE: Henderson already is at a size that he can compete at in college. He is extremely mobile and runs better than almost every other lineman in the country – in the junior and senior class. He also has excellent pad level and uses his hands at the point of attack.

Jordan Hicks:

His sophomore season saw him rack up 51 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and two sacks. He backed that up with a very solid junior campaign where he was seen on film in several games flying all over the field making big play after big play. He’s also got a nice early national offer list from teams like Florida, Illinois, Ohio State, Stanford and Texas.

Mike Hull:

Hull's father and uncle played football for Penn State. He earned first team all-conference honors as a freshman and sophomore and totaled more than 200 tackles in each of his first two years. On offense, he rushed for more than 1,300 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore.

Matt James:

James' father played football at Cincinnati and it looks like the massive 6-foot-8, 280-pounder will have his pick of schools. James is 16 years old and wears a size 15 shoe. He said he reached the 6-foot mark in the seventh grade. His skills are finally catching up with his frame and he is expected to be even more dominating as a senior.

J.T. Moore:

Ohio State's first commitment for the Class of 2010, Moore plays both ways for his high school team. "Right now, they are looking at me at defensive end, maybe a little bit of linebacker, but that is about it at the moment," Moore said. Moore is also close friends with 2009 commitment Corey Linsley.

Andrew Norwell:

Scouting Report: Shows amazing versatility as he flips from side to side on plays depending on the call. For a big man that’s 6 feet 7 and 275 pounds, he moves really well and gets great leverage. He’s able to stay really low and has a frame that’s only going to fill out when he gets to the next level.

Jamel Turner:

As a sophomore had 94 tackles, 31 tackles for a loss and 23 sacks. Is regarded as the top overall player in Ohio for the 2010 class. Has a great frame that will allow him to bulk up in college and is a threat as a speed-rusher when he puts his hand down on the line of scrimmage.

Spencer Ware:

Exploded onto the scene as a sophomore when he dominated the Greater Miami Conference by passing for 2,200 yards, rushing for nearly 1,000 yards and combining for 39 total touchdowns. It was more of the same for him in 2008, he completed 57 percent of his passes for 1,938 yards and 13 touchdowns. Ware also ran the ball for 741 yards and another 15 touchdowns. While he plays quarterback for Princeton, he'll likely be a running back in college.

Tyrone Williams:

At 6-5 and 205 pounds, Williams is the type of big and physical receiver that is always in demand at the college level. Beyond just being a big receiver, Williams can also run. He reports to have run a 4.5 40-yard dash, and has been a big-play receiver for Shaw.

Lots of big time talent on that list...It is just a bit nerve racking that there are lots of guys on that list that we could miss out on...Obviously the out of state guys...

But the instate guys...The only ones that I really feel confident on are Turner and Baldwin and obviously the Glenville guys if we offer...

But Ware(tenn), James(Cincy, ND), Hicks (Texas, article says he has an offer...True?)

Also we need lineman, and tackles for sure...I would of offered Norwell 2 months ago...Taylor Miller is another one that could be on this list as well as Mike Dorsey...Also Erik Howard...

The state seems to be real heavy on DE, top level OL, and RB...But DB prospects look thin, DT looks thin once again, QB, WR, and LB is soso...

Obviously it is still early, but we are going to need to go national to pick up a top class again...
