Welcome folks! You're lookin' live at the 8th Annual BP Pick'em Contest.
If you have not played before, the rules are simple:
1. Every week there will be a new pick'em thread for that week posted. You will pick eleven winners for those contests AGAINST THE SPREAD.
2. When you submit your picks, your submission MUST USE the same name as presented in the original post. E.g., If you are presented the choice of "Ohio State vs Miami, Fla.", please use either 'Ohio State' or 'Miami, Fla.' as your pick. If you submit your pick as "Miami," "OSU," "The Bucks" or anything else, it WILL be scored a loss, even if you had correctly predicted the winner.
3. You are scored by your pick percentage (correct picks / total picks) from the results of the first ten games on the list. Verify you have submitted all eleven picks. The eleventh 'extra game' pick is used only in the event one of the original ten games is cancelled or postponed.
4. Point spreads do not change once posted.
5. You are not required to play every week, but you must participate in over 50% of the weekly pick'em contests (typically a minimum of 8 out of 15), plus the bowl season finale to win the pick'em season title.
6. Weekly threads are usually posted four to five days ahead of the first game for the week, closing before kick-off of that game. Most weeks, the game selection group will include the nationally televised ESPN Thursday and Friday night games, Saturday marquee games from as many regions as possible (at least one game in each of the six BCS conferences), plus the Ohio State game.
This weeks picks due Thursday Sep 2, 7:30 PM EDT.
