YouTube- ‪2010 OSU Fall Camp Practice‬‎

To watch it in HD (if you have a good internet connection):

Click on the link or video above to travel to the youtube site.

Click on the 240p button in the bottom right of the video window

Change it to 720p. It might need time to buffer.

Click the _| arrow button to make sure you are viewing it full-size.

At 4:33, big John Hankins gets nice pressure up the middle.

Shugarts got too high(at least to the untrained eye. not an expert in OL technique) and showed some of the same bad habits from last year. Hopefully he gains more confidence in going up against speed rushers. He seems fine against bigger DE's.

Taylor Graham looks a lot like Krenzel out there.

Some interesting position changes already:

1. Blankenship to DT seems permanent. Any word on how he looks? Seems like he's in pretty good shape.
2. Ricky Crawford at TE. Wasn't he at WR just this spring? Coaches aren't confident in DiLillo or Smith?
3. Verlon Reed already with the WR's. I thought the coaches were going to give him a shot at QB, even if just out of courtesy.

Not sure about Shugarts choice of hair style. Did he lose a bet?
They're having fun with him over on gbw...they have a very odd infatuation with hair.

He's drawing a lot of praise from nevada and bank. They say he's the real deal. He was recruited hard by Norm Chow at UCLA, and Norm knows QBs. Braxton might have some stiff post-TP competition for that starting job.

Full pads today fellas
Wish I could be there, have other work activities to attend to. Can't wait to hear the practice reports.

Dilillo was not invited to fall camp, details are scarce. Yes he was at WR, but a bigger one.

That was the expectation but he moved to WR as soon as he arrived.

More than just the weather was hot

Ohio State put on full pads for the first time in camp this morning, running a spirited 2-hour practice in muggy conditions with the temperature climbing from the high 70s into the mid 80s by the time it ended.

Before I get into some chronological observations, I'll start by saying there was a skirmish between two true freshmen -- LB David Durham and OT Andrew Norwell. It started like most do -- after the whistle blew, with both players still intertwined.

This was a little more than the usual push and shove, deal, though. Durham actually took a full swing and landed a punch to Norwell's face, knocking off his helmet. Both players were fine, and practice continued with no further incident.

Other things:

I know you should always practice with good technique, but without full pads the linemen are basically just putting themselves into the right position more then firing off the ball and trying to beat the guy across from them. So I wouldn't look too much into who is getting beat up front or vice versa from a video like this.

To answer the TE question, I believe DiLillo isn't a part of the 105 guys in camp, so Crawford is likely filling in the depth there. (Although he was at media day supposedly so not sure what's going on there)

Hines said after practice that the players refer to the defensive Corey Brown as ?Corey Black? because he is so dark.
Ummm... Not sure I would have published that.

The other Corey Brown has already earned the nickname ?Philly Brown? after his hometown.
And I think we have a nickname...
