2010-2011 Men's Basketball Schedule

Wow, I think a lot of people have not realized how awful the ACC is outside of Duke this year. North Carolina isn't a top 20 team and they are probably the second best team in the conference.
Actually, it looks a lot like Florida State may be the 2nd best team in the ACC. But I agree it's not a strong year for the conference.

Well probably take some loses, but the Big Ten will toughen us up. So excited for this team this year!

What I like about the conference this year is that it's tough from top to bottom-not-Iowa, so the guys will face a new challenge every game and need to be sharp. We're just about done with the "What are schools in the Carolinas not named UNC Chapel Hill?" portion. B10 games will be a nice step up in game-to-game difficulty.

Have to admit I was fooled by the early "hot" start by IU without looking at their schedule. They could stake an early claim to being the Big Ten bottom dweller tonight.

After watching that game, I think that someone should call over to Bloomington before Friday evening and tell them to get the children and women out of town because the Buckeyes are coming:)

At Purdue February 20 2 days later Illinois

Thanks for this
:(

The Buckeyes' game at Purdue, originally scheduled Feb.19 or 20, will be on the 20th in Mackey Arena, the Big Ten announced today. It will tip off at 1 p.m. and be nationally broadcast on CBS, according to a conference official.

The scheduling of the game on a Sunday means Ohio State will have only one day to prepare for its next game, Feb.22 at home against Illinois. The Fighting Illini will have two days to prepare after playing at Michigan State on Feb.19.

Smoke Michigan on Thursday and get ready for that grueling 5 game stretch. If we come through that unscathed, I'd take even money on running the table undefeated this year.

Lets see what these boys are made of.

not that im hoping we lose but i just cant see us going undefeated for the entire season, including the tournament's....so if we lose i hope it is during the regular season obviously...i think i read least team to go undefeated and win the national title was in 1976, Bob Knights Hoosiers did it, and in 1991 UNLV almost did it but lose in the semi-finals to Duke...but ya if we make it through @ Purdue on the 20th undefeated, then we have a awesome shot

Agree, that I expect a loss somewhere the rest of the way. Like football, Wisky up there always worries me. But they have had grat focus so far.

I have a simple vbet that would be fun if someone wants to set it up. Which happens first: A Cavs win, or a Bucks loss?

If we're going to circle some games, the four big road trips - Wisconsin, Minnesota, Penn State and Purdue all look like possible single-score finishes. Partially, because several of them have long travel times (especially PSU) and Purdue has to be motivated for payback.

While it's possible to lose in the Schott, with the current atmosphere there and with the quality of opponents coming in, I'm not sure I see that happening. Wisconsin and Penn State seem to be the teams this year who give visiting opponents fits, regardless of who is coming to town, so my bet would be that if there's a loss (or two), those would be the games.

The Big Ten is just a tough conference in which to pick up road wins -- I'd really be happy if they only picked up a pair of losses, or even three*, from here on out, so long as they keep winning once the tournaments start.

* A three loss team would still more than likely win the Big Ten regular season outright at this point.
