2009 TSUN News (football only discussion)

I've been hearing around the boards that Jeremy Jackson will be playing at TE in his HS offense. This seems like a much better fit for him. Good size, good hands, not the best speed. It'll be interesting to see if the scouting services reevaluate him at the new position.

He had better hope that he either gains 50 lbs of muscle before the season starts or that he doesn't get reevaluated. He may eventually grow into a TE, but right now he's not big enough.

50??? I don't think you want a 250 lbs TE. As with a ton of HS kids, they need to grow into their position, so he's not the only one.

Dude weighs about 194 lbs right now (per Rivals, accuracy potentially dubious). Average weight of Rivals top ten TE's by year:

2002: 237.8
2003: 242.6
2004: 238.1
2005: 239.5
2006: 236.7
2007: 233.5
2008: 237.8
2009: 236.1
2010: 236.2
9 year average: 237.6

My mistake: he needs to gain around 40-45 lbs of muscle. Pardon the 5-10 lb overshot; the point remains valid - he's a little light in the pants in view of the historical precedent.

Well, it's a good thing he has an entire year before he will even see the field at UM. He's got some time to put some weight on.

Appalachian State shocked the world with their 34-32 upset in 2007, prompting the saddest day I've ever seen in Ann Arbor.....

Not really sure where to put this, so I guess with the recent Feagin discussion in this thread it makes sense.

Cocaine deal led to Justin Feagin's fall at U-M | Freep.com | Detroit Free Press

When Michigan sophomore receiver Justin Feagin was kicked off the team in July, coach Rich Rodriguez said only it was “for a violation of team rules.” But the Free Press has learned that there is much more to the story.
Feagin’s downfall started with a cocaine deal, detailed in U-M Department of Public Safety police reports. The coke deal ended with a U-M dorm room on fire, a fellow student headed for jail and Feagin back home in Florida.
also of note
(Feagin) has admitted to dealing drugs and being arrested twice (for battery and trespass) when he was in high school, according to police reports.

emergency meeting riddle solved?
