2009 Scholarship Offers

Since if I'm thinking straight there is a 25 max with a certain number of grace signings incase of transfer CE injury etc

Injuries and transfers don't impact the 25 max. You can't bring more than 25 new kids in during one academic year. The only way to mitigate this is if you bring kids in early that count against the prior year - or greyshirt them and count them against the next year. In any case, finding room just for 25 requires 3 additional loses beyond graduation to stay under 85.

Do yall think it's possible that we would bring in 30 recruits this year ? 5 more than expected. I remember last year we were supposed to only have brought in 17-18 and ended up with 20. Given 18-20 is a smaller comparison to 25-30.

I doubt you'll ever see a class of 25 with JT at the helm...23 would be about the max...

*cough* Though there were a lot more holes to fill back then across the board.

In retrospect, that 2004 class listed by Scout showed 26 LOI's signed, but turned out to be only 23.
Pettrey was a greyshirt, Joe Bauserman opted for baseball, and Dennis Kennedy did not make admissions and opted for Akron.
