I'd just like to point out that Sophia Loren will turn 75 later this year, and she looked pretty damn good.

can you elaborate on why you liked BB?
I just didnt see anything likeable about the movie. There was so many plot holes, and really his life was pretty uneventful/interesting. If they were trying to recreate Forest Gump, they failed miserably. At least Gump did important things, and had a lot of relevant stuff happen.

So BB knew the lady that swam accross the channel, then wow he is in the diner and she is on tv... what a coincidence. the whole movie was too contrived.

Aside from the plotholes, it sounds like I feel the exact opposite. Haha

I loved everything about the movie. I enjoyed what it had to say. I thought the actors and actresses all worked very well together, and the subtleties in their performances with each other were fantastic. I thought the story was very intriguing. There was just something about it that made it feel very relevant.

I'd have to give it another viewing to really go into detail. I've only seen it once, but I loved it.

It's the type of movie that I like. I enjoy seeing a film follow one character and see how life around them changes because of that character. Most of my favorite films are like this.. Amelie, Taxi Driver, Forrest Gump, There Will Be Blood, etc.

i just didnt understand his excuses for leaving... when he was young he had the body of an old man, but the mind of a 7yr old... so when he was older, he would have the same maturity... and when he was born/growing up, he looked like an old man, but was small the right size for his actual age. so why did he shrink to a baby size? it was quite convienent he got demsia at the right age, too.

Benjamin Button is terrible to me not because it follows one persons life, and not because it has plot holes. I think it's awful because it's 3 hours of emotionless nothing. If you are going to make a movie like that it has to have emotion in it. I didn't care about any of the characters at all. Very hollow movie. I would have replaced it with the Changeling, the Wrestler, or Gran Torino. The only thing remotely interesting or entertaining about Button is wondering what Brad Pitt will look like next. I was never watching the Oscars again if it won anything more than technical awards.
