Thunder get Chandler from Hornets By Marc Stein
ESPN.com
The New Orleans Hornets and Oklahoma City Thunder have completed a deal that sends center Tyson Chandler to the Thunder.
Chandler's Impact on Hornets

The Hornets are 10 games over .500 with Tyson Chandler and just a .500 team without him.

The Hornets received forwards Joe Smith and Chris Wilcox in exchange for their best interior defender.

The Hornets also received the draft rights to DeVon Hardin, who was selected No. 50 overall by the Thunder in the 2008 draft.

The Hornets play Tuesday night against the Thunder in Oklahoma City but the players involved in the trade are not expected to participate in the game.

ESPN.com reported early Monday that the Hornets -- who have been looking to move Chandler mostly for financial reasons -- were in talks with the Thunder on a trade that would net the expiring contracts of Smith and Wilcox. Thunder general manager Sam Presti is a long-time admirer of Chandler dating to his time with the San Antonio Spurs.

The Thunder also possess numerous draft picks to sweeten trade packages -- including five first-round picks in the next two drafts -- but Presti was able to land an accomplished center to complement his promising young trio of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green without surrendering any major draft considerations.

Vince Carter possibly to the Blazers?

Rumors of some combination between Raef LaFrentz, Sergio Rodriguez, and Travis Outlaw have been discussed.

As a partial Blazers fan, i'm not sure what to think of this. Carter would obviously add an edge to the team, but it wouldn't make a ton of sense for the sole reason of his age compared to how young the rest of the team is. They could definitely benefit from leadership, but Carter only has a few good years left.

Maybe Richard Jefferson?

Bulls get Miller, Salmons from Kings
By GREG BEACHAM
AP Sports Writer

The Chicago Bulls acquired center Brad Miller and John Salmons from the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday for four players, including forwards Drew Gooden and Andres Nocioni.

Sacramento also got Michael Ruffin and Cedric Simmons in the deal, but immediately traded Ruffin to the Portland Trail Blazers for forward Ike Diogu and cash. The Kings then waived guard Quincy Douby and veteran Sam Cassell, acquired on Tuesday from Boston, to make room for their new players.

The Bulls gave up some salary flexibility to acquire Miller, a two-time All-Star who played 105 games
