2009 Big Ten-ACC Challenge

If you would have told me that at the end of tonight that it would be tied 3-3 I would have taken it.

Yeah, Iowa and Indiana were expected losses and Sparty was likely, as well. Northwestern and, of all teams, PoSU winning on the road gives us a shot.

I don't have a lot of faith in Illinois winning on the road and Minny looks like a toss up, so it's up to scUM, Wiscy and us to win at home.

Unfortunately, Wiscy's win over Maryland last week doesn't count.

I'm confident in Michigan and OSU winning. Just need Illinois or Minny to pull it out, because I have little hope that Wiscy will. In the end, I think Minny pulls it out and we take it 6-5, but I'm just hoping it all comes down to OSU....it'd only be fitting for a school that has always received the brunt of the hatred for the conference to have the opportunity to win it for them.

a bit off topic, but why aren't teams going 40 minutes of hell on UNC? Ohio State made a huge comeback in the final minutes after going desperation mode and picking up full court. MSU almost makes a game last night doing the same thing by picking up full court in the final minutes.

I certainly understand the hesitation of it....why would you want to run with UNC? But jesus, they can't even inbounds the ball without the defense getting a finger-tip on it, and their guards are not strong with the ball when facing pressure.

I can understand what you are saying but to give 40 minutes of Hell you have to have a pretty deep team. Also, almost every team gets to be a little sloppy when they have a big lead during a game. Also, MSU and Ohio State are not chicken liver so they were bound to make some sort of run at UNC when they were in desperation mode. I am not saying that 40 minutes of Hell might not work against UNC but you better have a pretty deep bench and Michigan State does have that.

This is going to be very difficult night because depending on how the games are going I might want sCum to win and that is just so difficult. Why couldn't Iowa or Indiana win their games last night. I guess thank goodness for the Big Ten that Georgia Tech isn't playing instead of Miami or BC or the Big Ten probably would be doomed for sure.

scUM was clearly overrated, how they were #15 is beyond me
They got a lot of mileage out of that win in the NCAA's. They don't play defense, they're undersized and if their shots aren't falling they're helpless. They'll be about the same team they were last year.
