Gotcha.
I am with you--I could see how it would be more difficult and time consuming. Are you saying that you have maxxed out your ability to dwell on/obsess over/or otherwise give more thought to Buckeye football?
My post was more about constructive criticism than a definitive declaration that you all suck and your work product is without value.
So...in other words, just keep up the good work!

Maxed out ability to obsess on OSU? No, but maybe so on our opponents. :)
I'll explain it with a little history. The game previews started out as an idea from several of our posters. It was thought a little background information on our weekly opponent would be a nice starting point for discussions on the forums. Most everyone at BuckeyePlanet has a good grasp on the Buckeyes, but not nearly as many have more than a basic knowledge of the teams we will be playing. That, in a nutshell, was the genesis for the previews. Get some background information on who the Bucks are playing, give it to our members and let them run with it from there.
While the previews have evolved into a far reaching and information packed weekly volume, that isn't the main thrust of writing them. The depth of the previews is simply an outgrowth of the passion and drive of the individual writers. They want to do the best job possible with the resources at hand. At the risk of sounding like an elitist pr ck, I think they do a damn fine job. As many have stated, you will be hard pressed to find a better game preview anywhere (unless you're willing to shell out $77). Maybe that's just some nice folks blowing smoke up our collective asses, but that is really all the writers get in return for their hard work. (For really good previews the writers get an extra ration of smoke)
In any event, it is what it is, and it still remains true to the original goal ... to promote good discussion. Not to spoon feed information, but to wet your appetite for more. So I throw it back to you and the rest of our membership. The basic information is there. Want to debate the merits of our O-line versus their D-line? I sincerely hope you do. Start a discussion about just that. Do it here, use the game thread, start a new topic ... go for it. And I hope that isn't the only topic you'd like to explore. The strength of BuckeyePlanet is its' members. The collection of knowledge, insight and passion for the Buckeyes is what drives this community. Tap into it.
