It's a tough call. I would give Boecks the edge in the passing category. Sometimes Krenzel couldn't hit the side of a barn, watch the KSU Fiesta for a prime example. CK definitely gets the nod in the running and decision making categories. CK's heroics in '02 still amaze me to this day. If not for him, we may not have been a top 25 team, let alone NC. But it's interesting to speculate how TB would have done on that team. I would put Jenkins, Gamble, and Vance slightly above what TB is working with. The current guys are just fine, but Jenkins was the best WR since Boston, and Gamble's speed isn't matched on the '07 team. The '07 O-line is better than '02, which could make a difference, since TB needs a long time to make decisions. RB goes to '07 as well, based soley on the games that MoC missed. I would venture to say that the increase in completions and yardage if TB was on the '02 squad would lessen the need for late game heroics. The times when TB would have struggled are the games where MoC was out and the running game was ineffective, that's precisely the situation where the "Bad Todd" could emerge. But given the strength of the D in '02, there would have been plenty of second chances. I could see TB in '02 having the same results thru 13 games, but without the close calls. The NC game could only have been pulled off by CK. On the other hand, I don't know if CK could have led the '07 team to 11 wins. TB was a big part of our early season success in '07. In the end, you have to go with Krenzel. It's really an unfair question, like asking a christian whether they'd chose Jesus or David.
