Good point, this season is all the defenses issues!!! Not to mention that Morgan Trent guy, and Lloyd Carr, he left me with nothing, didn't recruit anyone for the last 4 years and now I am stuck! :sad2:

Don't worry, Rich. We actually kinda like having you around.

More recruiting, starring Rich Rodriguez

By Kyle Nagel | Thursday, October 30, 2008, 03:00 PM
In a bye week, it?s time to take in the big picture around the Big Ten. And here it is: Rich Rodriguez knows Michigan fans are impatient, and he knows things are tough.
Would it be different if Terrelle Pryor were in Ann Arbor? Tough to say. It seems pretty clear he would be the starting quarterback, but that doesn?t necessarily mean a better won-loss record.
Rodriguez doesn?t bank his optimism in his quarterback depth. He places it in recruiting, writes Bruce Hooley on FOXSports.com.
Now Pryor is at Ohio State, intent on tormenting the Wolverines the next several years, while Rodriguez struggles with redshirt freshman Steven Threet until two quarterback commitments arrive next season.
?It?s obvious, we?re struggling a little bit,? Rodriguez said. ?It?s been a long time since our guys ? maybe the first time our guys ? have been, and a long time since I?ve went through something like this, but it?s not the end of the world. One positive in recruiting is that guys can see that, ?Hey, maybe I can make an impact and help them get it turned around.? ?
Exactly. Recruits could choose Michigan because they have a chance to help restore a legendary program to full strength.
However, Ohio State has a pretty good chance (understatement) of earning a fifth straight win against the Wolverines, especially with the game in Columbus. And between the two, recruiting isn?t looking so hot for Michigan, either.

Interesting comment left by a reader from that article:roll2:

"may take a year or two but michigan will own the buckeyes and big ten. tressel is too conservative, chokes on the big games and is like a baseball player who signs that multi million dollar contract..he just doesn?t try as hard as he used to.or?maybe tressel is overrated..remember he stole a championship with coops recruits, he couldn?t handle potential 3 x hesiman winner clarett, and he always candy coats his losses."

Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Recruiting picture clearing for five stars
WR Rueben Randle, Bastrop (La.) High: Many thought Randle was a lock for LSU, but the Tigers' recent struggles and some heavy recruiting by a few other schools has turned a lock into a big question mark. Alabama has turned into a big-time contender for his services, and Miami and Michigan are also in the mix here. Randle's teammate, DeQuinta Jones, is headed to Ann Arbor and Michigan assistant Jay Hopson has done a great job recruiting the Southeast. Still, you can't count out LSU for an in-state stud.
Except Jones is a strong possibility to decommit from UM
LB Jelani Jenkins, Olney (Md.) Our Lady of Good Counsel: Jenkins is a tough read, having narrowed his list to 15 schools only recently. Some schools have to be considered long-shots, such as Boston College, Clemson, Illinois, Maryland and Oregon. While Penn State long has been considered the front-runner, keep an eye on Florida. Still, until Jenkins sets his official visits, everything is speculation
CB Dre Kirkpatrick, Gadsden (Ala.) Gadsden City: Kirkpatrick will flirt with a few schools, mainly Texas, but every source out there thinks he'll be signing with Alabama.
UM is one of those.
DT William Campbell, Detroit Cass Tech: LSU and Miami are getting official visits, but USC seemingly has this one right. The Trojans aren't pushing hard for Campbell despite his talent because they seem to be hearing what I am hearing: Campbell will end up at Michigan in the end.
S Craig Loston, Aldine (Texas) Eisenhower: Big 12 fans can say all they want and Oregon fans can dream, but Loston – who backed out of his commitment to Clemson – is headed to LSU. Some say he's already a silent commitment.
• I mentioned last week that West Virginia has a good shot at quarterback Eugene Smith from Miramar (Fla.) High following the de-commitment of Tajh Boyd.
High athlete Donavan Tate, who visited Oct. 10. Tate – whose dad, Lars, was a running back at Georgia and in the NFL – has narrowed his list to USC, Michigan, Alabama, North Carolina, Georgia and LSU, but there is speculation that on his visit, he indicated to Pete Carroll that he would be a Trojan.

Message to UM fans. Your AZ commit Craig Roh is going to need to bulk up before he makes an impact. His team played last night and I guess he was getting bullied around. I think he's about 230 pounds. Get that boy in the weight room as soon as he steps on campus. He has the frame to get bigger, but he's just too thin to be on a Big-10 D-line at this point.

Search on here for Barwis and you will see that scUM fans basically believes that he is the hand of God, and was going to be the reason they were going to be so strong this year.

Did you know he was an MMA fighter??

Craig Roh coming from the hands of God? That is a good one. Like I said, he could be good if he gets bigger, but he is too thin to make an impact at the D1 level at his current size. If he's getting pushed around by high school OL, then what is going to happen when he gets to UM?

I was not aware he was an MMA fighter? Maybe that's his calling?

No bud, let me break it down for you. Barwis is scUM's S&C coach. D-Rod brought him from WVU. He is supposedly the best S&C coach in the country and is attributed to WVU's strong 4th quarter performances, and all their NFL draft picks. He was an MMA fighter, is a wolf owner, and an MMA fighter.

I dont know anything about Roh, but if he is small Barwis will change all that!

my joke's not funny anymore. Barwis's thread IS funny however.

Another UM decommitment? Fan favorite RB Fitzgerald Toussaint?
Problem with Toussaint? If anybody has access to Scout info, are there academic issues with Fitzgerald Toussaint? Is he still planning on attending UM?
Tom Beaver doesn't say for SURE who it is, he gives his hints, others on the board picked up on them better then I did.I guess.... claimer... RUMOR has it....claimer RUMOR has it..... that it is indeed that, and he might not be able to enroll in January... and that COULD....claimer COULD ...effect his decision to come to UofM because he wants to enroll early somewhere.

How delusional are scUM fans that on the day they lost to Purdon't and saw their Bowl streak end, they have a thread like this on their forum:

OSU is Losing Confidence

As a UM fan living in Ohio, I occasionally frequent the OSU message boards. At the start of the season, remark after remark was made as to how bad OSU would take down our beloved UM team.

Even as this dreadful season has continued on, the pride continued to swell...
OSU is Losing Confidence
