2008 tOSU Spring Game (4/19) & Practice Discussion

I think the winner of our Division will possibly be 9 and 7 , and land a 4 seed playoff spot. If the Browns do better?? Great. But realistically, 9 wins is being realistic. That schedule the Browns have is brutal, open with Dallas and then 3 straight divisional games. We have to be on our A game straight from the shoot..............

[sarcasm]Why would we have the Brownies at the Spring Game...Well they better not let Braylon in![/sarcasm]

Wrong Thread Maybe?

That's a safe bet, but some of them do know the way to CBus from the mistake on the lake. I'll bet Braylon would be a no show.
Braylon would make the trip. Probably put on his old Ted Ginn jersey and suit up with the S&G so he'd finally know what being a winner feels like.

More notes and quotes

Part 2 of some spring-practice notes that won't see the light of day unless I put them here....these are from interview sessions all the way back to April 1:
APRIL 1, DEFENSIVE LINEMEN
Doug Worthington was moved from end to tackle before last season. It was an experiment aimed at getting a more athletic player inside. Worthington certainly isn't the prototype tackle, he didn't have that Quinn Pitcock, lower-body bulldog build. He was listed at 6-7, 271 last season, when he had an OK year. But the Buckeyes need better production in the middle of the line this season, and Worthington feels he needs to bulk up to do his share.
"Every time I go into the weight room, I think I get on a scale and I see what I weigh," he said. "And later, I try to get something to eat before I get to sleep. I want to be a versatile guy, I don?t want to be 330 pounds right now, but at the end of the day, I have the frame for it.
"I want to be 285, 290 for next season and have a great season with that and show people that I can play the inside."
He said he's 282 right now.

I don't think this has been posted yet

From The-Ozone:

OSU Spring Game Will Be On TV...sort of

...more talk about the BTN and delay-play of Spring Game, etc., etc.

WBNS, Columbus is not too happy with losing the ability to brodcast the Spring Game live after a six year relationship.

"We worked with OSU to establish a charitable aspect to the game so it all became rather hand in glove. We raised funds for the mid-Ohio food bank. It was a great partnership, then came the Big Ten Network and we lost that partnership."
