2008 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

Good post Oswho...I will just respectfully disagree because I've been in the opinion that Posey is a 5 star WR since the first time I watched his film, and that has only been strengthened by his performance in the Piscataway NIKE camp and the Miami 7 on 7 film. Bradham isn't a bad player but I watch his film and just wonder where all the hype is coming from. I can see he has great size but he doesn't really look that athletic to me on film. Now on Yancich...I have to agree with Napoleon. Not only do I think that Sweat is the better player on film and in performance, but Yancich didn't have offers from Florida, Notre Dame, and Ohio State (those offers were early offers too). I think Rivals overlooks that fact since Sweat didn't give the Gators much consideration after his visit there. Yancich is a good player and deserving of the top 250 ranking, but not in front of Sweat.

I disagree Napoleonbuck, I actually think that Sweat is a better athlete than Yancich. He's a very smooth and fluid kid who moves real well. Yancich may have better combine numbers and he might have a better body at this point, but I would take Sweat over him any day.

It's scary to think that the best player(s) in Ohio may be in next year's class...

Any of them looking at Michigan? This might be asking to much, but can you give me a few names of say the potential top 10-15 kids in the '09 Ohio class?

I know OSU ain't going to be able to sign all of them!

thanks for the link. Just checked some of them out, so far the most impressive I've seen has been Desmar Jackson. He has a Randy Moss like build and he's got excellent hops and body control to go along with good speed. He's also very physical, saw him throwing blocks and lowering his shoulder into defenders when he was near the sidelines to try and pick up more yards instead of trying to duck out of bounds like most receivers would. Is Ohio State going after him? Because I'd prefer if they didn't.

I think he said that he's just going to play bball this year. It looks like he won't be playing football in college. Honestly, I haven't heard much interest from guys toward UM in next year's class. Usually we hear of some like Boron or Koger or Manningham, but I personally haven't heard much on that front. That certainly doesn't mean there isn't any. I'm just not sure. I know that I've read that many of the top guys in Ohio next year seem to LOVE the Bucks, though (Simon, Klein, Ferrel is from Y'town, Studlien, etc...).
