2008 Penalty Breakdown

By my recollection:

Delay of Game - Pryor
False Start - Boone, Browning
Holding - can't remember
Illegal block (Return) - didn't catch who did it
Substitution - No clue

Facemask - Wilson - garbage call
Pass interference - Jenkins
Personal Foul (Roughing the passer) - Terry


It's interesting to me that all 4 of the procedure penalties came with Boeckman in the game.

But you were rotating in new WR's, new Lineman, etc...

Shit. Looking at that now, it looks like I was blaming Boeckman for those mistakes. Not at all what I intended. I just thought it was interesting that the team seemed to lose a lot of focus at that point.

I rewatched it again and posted it after the game ,don't forget the drops when Boeckman was the man. I can go on but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Wisconsin Game:

OSU: 5 penalty for 30 yards
Wisc: 3 penalties for 19 yards

Note: Ohio State had a 5-yard sideline penalty after the fumble recovery at the beginning of the second quarter. I put this under defense since it happened after they made the play.

The Wiscy game was actually a pretty clean game with relatively few mistakes on either side (as witnessed by your penatly counts/yards). I was pleased/impressed by the relative lack of motion/false starts considering the location/atmosphere. I can only remember 1 during the game. If so, major improvement.

I agree... much better performance in terms of concentration by the offensive line on Saturday. Here's to that continuing this weekend!

Nope, 3rd and 1-1/2 on the first possession of the game. Turned into 3rd and 6-1/2 which was a screen pass for no gain.

That was on Person, who first had to sprint from the sideline to the huddle to be there in time to get the play...
