2008 PAC-10 Discussion

So what's the Big 10's outlook on the Pac-10 so far? We will definitely know more after this weekend when Oregon plays Purdue and tOSU plays USC. I think Oregon will beat Purdue and do you guys know yet if Beanie will play or if he plays will he be close to 100%.

USC is obviously #1 in the Pac but I can't tell who will be #2, 3 or 4 between Oregon, Cal and Az. State. Just seeing if you guys saw any of the games to get an opinion? I usually only hear Pac-10 opinions which are biased so an outsiders opinion would be appreciated.

1. USC(not completely sold on the offense just yet but the D is for real and w/o question the best in the nation)
2. Oregon(doesn't matter who starts at QB or RB, that offense is impossible to stop)
3. Cal(kicked the ever-loving shit out of Wazzou. They're horrible but that has to count for something)
4. ASU(OL is still pitiful but Carpenter is a very good QB)

ESPN - USC's Shareece Wright out with neck injury - College Football Nation
USC cornerback Shareece Wright, who's been in the news of late because he was charged with resisting arrest just before the Ohio State game, has a fractured vertebra and could miss up to six weeks of action.
Defense coordinator Nick Holt told me two weeks ago that Wright was the most underrated player on the Trojans defense, so this is a big loss as USC gets ready for a Thursday date with Oregon State on ESPN.

...

USC coach Pete Carroll previously told the LA Times that Wright would be disciplined internally for his arrest but -- before the extent of his injury was known -- that Wright would start at Oregon State.
