2008 Open Night Practice (Monday, Aug. 18th)

Dispatch

No cameras? Good luck

Ohio State wants to let anyone coming to the Monday open practice know that no cameras will be allowed into Ohio Stadium.
There, I've done my duty in passing that along. Now for some fun:
Everyone entering the stadium will be blindfolded, thrown in the trunk of a car, driven around in circles for awhile, and then dumped off at their seats.
No, seriously....how exactly will this camera ban be enforced? Are they going to confiscate cell phones from everyone on the way in? Good luck with that, and way to build goodwill.
What the heck do they think people are going to do -- spill closely guarded state secrets? Being open to the public in the first place, I'm sure Ohio State is not going to practice anything they truly want to keep under wraps, so what's the harm in someone snapping a photo from 50 feet away?

camera???

What is the big deal I've always brought my camera along with me to the night practice all I do is take pictures of my kids getting autographs and in the shoe......I can't imagine them enforcing this!!! First no autographs and now no camera's, well I'm bringing mine!!

Not really a new thing. Last year the media was excused (firmly) from the practice field early, while the rest of the stadium was allowed to stay... for no apparent reason.
