He's back and better than ever!
  • never to early

    http://www.cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10160905

This is just a start. It's never too early for that.
    1. Brian Brohm, QB, Louisville: If he had entered this year's draft, which he considered, he might've even been the top overall pick.
    2. Darren McFadden, RB, Arkansas: He's as good Adrian Peterson, this year's top back, if not better. McFadden has the explosive speed, plus power.
    3. Sam Baker, T, USC: He will be the next in a long line of great offensive lineman from USC. He's a massive man at 6-6, 310 pounds.
    4. Glenn Dorsey, DT, LSU: He's a power player who will see a lot of double-teams this year. Ben Grubbs, this year's top guard, said Dorsey was his toughest opponent.
    5. Lawrence Jackson, DE, USC: You can never have enough good pass rushers in a draft, and this guy tops them all. He really brings it off the edge.

You know what is one of the silver linings of the Quinn deal?

Not having to root for the Browns to lose their last 4 or so games to get a better pick. Words I don't want to ever utter again: "Thank god we lost to Houston."

Well hopefully it is Houston losing all their games next year as the Falcons have the their second round pick and would love having the 1st pick in the second round, and their draft this year kinda leads me to believe that they might be up for th worst record in the NFL next year...

    NFL cuts time between picks

Draft will be moved back, less rounds on Saturday

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The NFL on Tuesday cut from 15 minutes to 10 the time between picks in the first round of its draft after a 2007 record round of 6 hours and 8 minutes.
It also moved the starting time of the draft from noon EDT to 3 p.m. and limited the first day to two rounds instead of three.
"We believe this will make for a more streamlined and efficient draft," commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement issued during the league owners meetings.
The change also applied to the second round, which will go from 10 minutes to seven between choices for next year's draft, which will be held April 26-27 at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

Now if they would only get the draft off of ESPN and put it on the NFL Network (we all know it is going to happen)! No more idiotic, over-used catch-phrases by Berman. No more assinine comments by the self-annointed draft guru, Mel Kiper Jr. who is more interested in himself then anything actually occurring at the draft. And no more coverage by a network that thinks it makes the news rather than reporting it.
