2008 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

Two 2nds and a 4th this year. I'm looking for them to trade a 2nd and 4th to Miami for Jason Taylor.
Devin Thomas please. PLEASE last two more picks...

I think that might end up as the best value pick in the first round.
Absolutely, and one of the few teams who can get away spending a first on such a fragile position like RB.
I am a Falcons fan. I hate the Redskins trade, especially for a guy who may have been there at #34. I also hate the Matt Ryan pick. I would like to make a comment to the Falcons new GM....GLENN DORSEY YOU STUPID MOTHERFUCKER!!! You have to be fucking kidding me with this bullshit.
:slappy: Matt Millen has nothing on that trade and pick, ridiculous. :shake:

On a sidenote, could the graphic intro and cutscenes be any more lousy? The lame touchscreen interface, or worse, the pink edged video box?

That better have been a low budget, because it's been pretty lousy for all of the new graphics.

Yep, Merling is coming in to try and fill the void left by Taylor. We've picked up lots of LB help in FA so it makes a lot of sense there. Calais Campbell or Brandon Flowers would've been great picks as well. I'm not sure which pick Miami picked up in 2nd round yet so that may have dictated why Merling and not the DB.

There goes Thomas to the Redskins. You get your wish.

Just got a chance to review the picks from the first round and was a bit surprised. Did Henne and Hart decide to stay in school for yet another year?
I was shocked to see Flacco go so early, but more surprised the Dolphins passed on Henne at the top of round 2. May have more to do with Merling still being there. Maybe Hart can start training for the Tour De France?

Great value pick by Miami for Merling. Still think Mendenhall is a more exciting steal, but Miami was able to shore up their OL with Long and still get an elite DE.

Agreed, that's a steal for Miami. They trade an aging DE for additional picks and get a guy at the top of round 2 that had been projected as a mid-1st rounder by many. I hate the idea of the Stillers having a Parker/Mendenhall tandem.

Gimme some Devin Thomas baby!

Glad ESPN didn't bother to show us :shake:

Good get for the 'Skins.

Is it me, or is this one of the most boring drafts ever. Just not a great deal of talent out there this year like years past. Of course it could be the result of a few Buckeye's deciding to stay in school another year.:tongue2:

It is a bit boring. Four DL aren't all that exciting (even though all can play), Ryan was not that special in college, and Long was extremely good, not unbelievable.

Playmakers like DeSean Jackson, Devin Thomas and others lack the sizzle of a Ted Ginn, Reggie Bush, etc. And there certainly is not an all-world superstar or three like a few years ago (Reggie, Leinart, VY, etc).

It looks like a cheap knock-off of Minority Report.
