2008 Kentucky Derby (don't merge me)

His statements were intended to get a rise out of ``public'' but in this day and age nobody is shocked from cruelty or any outlandish behavior for that matter. Before somebody starts with the ``burgers'', yes, there is some hypocrisy there, and maybe I wouldnt care that much if I didn't watch the race myself. However, seeing the beautiful horse galloping around just minutes before, so full of life, part of such a joyous occasion and minutes later laying on the ground, I just felt terrible myself. Maybe that is realizing your own mortality, I don't know. Anyway, I don't intend to give moral lessons to anyone, a horse died, you don't care, I understand, but do not try to make the ones that care look foolish. I guess you can understand that, too.

Deserved? What did she do to deserve dying? It's not like she had a choice as a young horse to run fast around an oval or go on to med school.
thats a good point i watch all the posters and even though gatorbet has an unusual sense of humor i always think he is goofy but makes some good points sometimes but he is surely right on this one no jokes aside.

horses die everyday why should anyone care more about this one? Am I glad that the horse died? No, but it is just a horse. People are dying because of violence all over the world and I am suppose to be upset about a racehorse? Not going to happen, people need to get their priorities in order.

I agree with your points, that there are more important things in this world for people to worry about, but I'm definitely not laughing about a horse dying and I damn sure wouldn't make a post on here laughing about it. Just goes to show the maturity level of some of the idiots in this world.

If these horses keep getting hurt then dead, maybe they shouldn't run the race anymore. I mean, it's pretty silly to get upset over a horse that was doing nothing more than dancing for humans. You don't want the horses to die, quit pushing them to their limits for your fucking amusement.

Catherine the Great disagrees.
