I understand punishing UF for losing at home to UK. What I don't quite understand is how beating a non-NCAA team booked UK's ticket to the dance. Seems like a strange double standard to me.

Rewarded for having a good record in the greatest conference in sports

Yeah that really hurts. And Zaga is in a dogfight with San Diego, if they lose they will still get an at large.

That goddamn conference is going to get 3 teams in because neither Gonzaga nor St. Marys won the conference tourney. Pretty sweet deal for the 3rd place team to host the tourney.

not looking good for the bucks. San Diego is about to punch their ticket. Zags and St. Mary's are going to get at-larges. 3 from the WCC? Wow. With VCU out in the colonial tourney, they may get 2 bids as well. Not looking so good unless the boyz beat 2 more ranked teams friday and saturday. Go Bucks.

We need Butler to beat Cleveland State tomorrow (sorry, Vikings!) and Kent State needs to win the MAC tourney because they have a very good shot at an at-large if they lose.

Oh yeah, and I now believe we must beat Sparty again and get that 20th win, at the very least. I think 19-13 might be too much of a stretch to expect a bid.

Yup with South Alabama and Gonzaga losing I would say we have to win the MSU game to get in...It is better to still be able to control your own destiy...

Tonight could not have gone any worse for bubble teams. South Alabama and Gonzaga are both locks for those precious at-larges.

It was far from an optimum outcome.....but Davidson and Western Kentucky are other mid majors who would have vied for a bid had they lost their conference tourneys. VCU losing yesterday didn't help though. The committee might love them some Colonial Conference with the runs that George Mason, and VCU themselves, have made in recent years.

OSU needs to win against MSU regardless of what happened tonight.

True enough I guess. Davidson was ranked but has a suprisingly weak resume with an RPI of 41 and 0 Top 100 wins, along with a 131 SOS. But best that they lock up the auto-bid. WKU winning actually hurt bubble teams though- with that win, they bettered their resume should they lose in the title game. Now hopefully that doesn't happen, and I can't really see the Sun Belt getting 3 teams. But South Alabama, Gonzaga, St. Mary's, and possibly VCU are all going to be taking spots from bubble teams like Ohio State.

Right now, there is no way we get in at 19-13. We need to win one more and probably get some help from some other bubblers, or just win two.
