Hungry' Boilers eye lengthy run

WEST LAFAYETTE ? Unlike last year, Purdue isn?t entering the Big Ten tournament worrying about how many games it has to win to secure an NCAA berth.
The No. 17 Boilermakers already have that locked up.
But coach Matt Painter and his players said there?s still a lot to gain at Conseco Fieldhouse where Purdue (24-7) opens play tonight against Illinois (14-18), which defeated Penn State 64-63 on Thursday.
?We?re hungry,? senior guard Tarrance Crump said. ?We blew a game last week. The better team won that night. Ohio State outplayed us. So we feel like we have a chip on our shoulder. So we?ll come in with a focus level that we?re trying to take one game at a time and win.?
