2008 ACC/Big Ten Challenge (official thread)

anyone think purdon't has a chance against the dukies?

I think Purdon't has the defense that is capable to pressure the Dook shooters ala what West Virginia did last year in the tourney.

When Dook's shooters don't have a free shot at the basket like when they play teams like NC A&T or whomever, they only hit at a 25% clip. Eventually they get frustrated because the other team hasn't quit and start missing layups and FTs too.

2-1 Big Televen. 1 game better than I expected frankly because I didn't think the Buckeyes would win. Thank you Jack McClinton thuggery. Although OSU may have won regardless.....we'll never know.

Iowa had a chance to tie at the end of their game against B.C., but to the line stepped the worst foul shooter in the history of the white people, Andrew Brommer. Hawkeyes lose.

Illinois might be the goats if we end up losing again this year. They had a non elite ACC team at home and should have come out on top as a result. I was counting that game as a win before the challenge began.

PU fell behind early and has never been able to make it up. Dook isn't likely to let them off the hook down 15 with 13 minutes left. :ohwell:

Minny leads UVa by 3 at the half. Hope they win because tomorrow doesn't look good. Indiana is going to get assraped by Wake, and despite the hype I think Sparty will get drilled by Carolina.

Minnesota-Virginia is absolutely a must win for the conference now. It's going to be difficult enough to achieve 3 wins with tomorrow's slate of games. Regardless, it appears it's probably a 10th straight loss for the Big Ten in the challenge. If we do lose again, and by a narrow margin, Delaney should be put under the microscope for his money-centric myopia. MSU would obviously have a better chance of pulling an upset against UNC at the Breslin Center.

Not to say you are wrong in counting Clemson as non-ACC elite, but that is a goo dprogram. And they have good players. Maybe it's me, but I thought that was a 50-50 game.

Good to see Minny taking care of business.

I won't be surprised if the Big Ten loses every game today. :shake:

What a year - when I'm actually happy to see Northwestern in the Challenge because I think they can make the conference look better. :ohwell:

Indiana is getting killed - and they play Gonzaga Saturday. DOH!

scUM actually led by 6 at halftime, but it seems all that did was piss off Maryland.

PsU is playing GT even at halftime.

We actually need scUM and PsU to win on the road. Oy vey!
