2008, A Repeat of the Crazy 2007 Year?

Looking at the teams coming back and looking at schedules, it looks to me like we will have another crazy football season. There will be more balance in college football and that means more "upsets" that really aren't upsets because of parity.
Probably a good thing for college football in general.
Not so good for the BCS, though. More controversy.

Just look at some of the so-called super teams in 2008.
USC- flawed WRs and a relatively new starting QB. Losses on defense.
Georgia- plays in the always tough SEC. And they got blown out in some games last year. Over-rated?
Florida-that defense is expected to be better, they couldn't get any worse.
Oklahoma- choke specialist or just over-rated?
Texas-lost Vince Young a couple years ago and haven't been the same since.
Kansas? Please!
And our own beloved Bucks? QB struggled at the end of the season and top RB wasn't healthy for much of the season.
And DTs were a weakness all season.

I kind of doubt it actually.

A lot of the craziness that drove 2007 was due to the inexperience and youth (along with injuries) that a lot of teams experienced throughout the year.

2008 should shape up like a "normal" CFB season. There will be upsets and all that, but 2007 was a year for the ages.

I disagree. There are many top teams who are poised to either peak, or at least improve this season, whereas last season most of the top teams were still pretty young and unexperienced.
Oklahoma, USC, Ohio State, WVU, Georgia, Florida, Missouri and Texas should all be better. I probably left out a few as well. I don't think you will see nearly as many teams get caught either overlooking, or just not showing up like you did this past year.

I really don't see how USC and Texas will be better. Based on what? Texas has an outside shot at improving, but USC is a bit of a stretch IMHO.

That's my feeling as well.

USC loses some imortant pieces. The areas they were weak in 07 are likely to improve but the aforementioned losses will hit them in other areas.

They'll still be a top 10 team, just not a dramatically better one than 07 IMO.

Well, with Texas McCoy will only get better, and if they can find a decent running back they should be ok. (need help in the secondary also)
USC may not improve and I probably worded it wrong by saying improved, but they will be loaded with talent like always, and I don't think Sanchez is that bad. But, I can see where these two are debatable. Perhaps improved isn't the best word for USC or Texas, but I don't see all these upsets happening again.
