Les Miles is doing a tremendous job at LSU and will be reloading with even more talent. Many know his roots to scUM. Is it obvious that he will go there next? It seems like Carr's future is getting darker and darker.

I heard somewhere (maybe it was on the LSU-ND telecast last night) that there is a huge buyout clause in Miles' contract should he leave LSU to go to scUM. Besides, Miles is NOT a good coach.

Their offense will look good on paper next year with Long, Henne, Hart and MM back but you always have Voyd to put the damper on it for the opposition.

Defensively they are going to struggle, I don't care if English clones himself and coaches every position. They had one guy who was even decent in coverage this year and he's gone. They lose the absolute heart of their front 7 which was all they had going fro them this year. NO WAY in hell they don't take a MAJOR step backward on D in '07.

Also consider the blueprint on how to beat scUM was absolutely set in stone by OSU and USC. Any coach who doesn't atack them exactly like that in '07 is just an idiot. The fun part is they will see more of it and have less ability to stop it next year.

Any team that has an effective passing attack, a stout run defense and enough DB talent to double cover MM stands a very good chance vs scUM in 2007. They will start the year vastly overrated becasue of the names returning on O.

If scUM wins in a bowl next year and/or beats the bucks all the heat from the fan-base will fade.

These things happen unlikely it is.

Texas QB likely to land at UM
Recruiting class looking solid

By MATT MARKEY

ANN ARBOR - What has been an unusual recruiting season for the Michigan Wolverines enters its home stretch with the biggest prize apparently secured, but a number of other targets were missed or uncertain.

I like the part best where it mentions the difficulty recruiting in Ohio and puts it off to lower talent than normal in Ohio and recruiting against OSU in the NC game. Uh, the fact that Voyd is Tressel's beyatch apparently doesn't come into it.

Hey, I just looked at scUM's schedule for '07.

They finish:
@ MSU 11/3
@ Wisky 11/10
OSU 11/17

The best part is they get Oregon, ND and PSU all at home in early September and will more than likely be 9-0 going into those last 3.

They are going to be full of NC talk and sporting a Top 5 ranking for sure going into that stretch.

I cannot remember the last time they did not have some of the B10's lower teams the weeks leading up to The Game. I like this schedule more than some of the ones they have had in the past.

Since when is MSU not one of the Big 10's lower teams? :wink2: But I remember a LONG stretch when we had to play Penn State or Wisconsin right before OSU. Sometimes both. More recently it's been Northwestern.

That's always a dangerous game, though, especially in East Lansing, so it's not like Northwestern is on the approaching schedule. But unless Dantonio is a miracle worker, it will take him a couple years to fix the losing attitude there, especially with a brand-new QB.

Safe money says Michigan finds a way to lose one in September.
I worry about the Oregon game. Our defense won't have had a chance to settle in. The game's at the Big House, which is a plus, because we went out there a couple years ago and got beat when all the money said we should trample them. They're returning just about everyone on offense, though.
