Ya know what? The fans of every other team in the good old US of A can keep right on bitching and whining and moaning about the Bucks and I could give a rat's ass.
Easy schedule ? I could care less.
We have better talent? I'd have to see it.
Better Coach ? I can't believe it.
Harder conference? Yawn. ( to borrow the expression)
Far as I'm concerned they can keep right on with their crybaby antics because I won't care other than to laugh my ass off over it.
When we win the NC this year I will laugh in their faces and buy them a beer if they want to whine about it because it will be funny.
As far as I am concerned ,MY Buckeyes ARE the best team in the nation and will be until one of those teams that lost to a middle roader in a "much" stronger conference. jumps up and beats us.
But until then I laugh at them , HAHA AHAHA. They are just jealous of us so let them try to bring us down to their level with their barbs and inuendos.
If they don't have to courtesy and sportsmanship to respect us then I will laugh.
I will live with MY Buckeyes and be sad with them But I am a Buckeye through and through and no one will make me believe less of MY team than the team itself.
:oh:

That's Harford County :tongue2:

I spend plenty of time working, so there is nothing to worry about.

Actually, it may be better if he is bored as opposed to being to busy.

Exactly. I never "want" to be busy here. If I'm busy then people are in need of help....which is never a good thing.

I think what Mili is referring to is an astronomically high number of posts (almost SEC speed) for someone who joined the community within the last month. It's all good, post away I guess. No problem here.

I just enjoy the reading part of this website, and there's all kinds of info on here. You really can learn and catch up on a lot of stuff. I think Mili was inferring as much.

OSU notebook: Special-teams deficiencies raise concerns

Thursday, November 8, 2007 3:39 AM
By Ken Gordon

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

It's a good thing for Ohio State that it has been winning games by wide margins, because the special teams have been uncharacteristically shaky. When kicker Ryan Pretorius' 29-yard field goal attempt was blocked last week against Wisconsin, it marked the third blocked field goal try this season.
The Buckeyes are 118th in the nation, out of 119, in kickoff returns. Two kickoffs have been returned for touchdowns, and a bad snap has prevented Pretorius from kicking an extra point.

I don't know where to ask this question and I didn't wanna start a new thread, so I'll ask here...

Who are the probable starters at offensive tackle next year?

Barton is a senior, Boone is a junior with the NFL draft at the very least being a possibility.

Do you guys expect to see Brewster and Shugarts jump right in, or do the Buckeyes have someone else inline that I've forgotten about?

I find myself looking forward to the USC game and trying to figure out how we match up and OT is the only real huge concern I can come up with at the moment.

Thanks.

I actually meant Adams above, not Brewster.

Ohio State kicking game causing some concern

Friday, November 09, 2007 Doug Lesmerises

Plain Dealer Reporter
Columbus -- Ohio State kicker Ryan Pretorius told coach Jim Tressel that he didn't sleep after Ohio State's 38-17 win over Wisconsin on Saturday -- not after another blocked kick.
"I told him, I don't sleep most nights, so don't worry about it,' " said Tressel.
But Tressel is worried about the Buckeyes' kicking game. Though Pretorius ranks third among the nation's kickers with 91 points, making 40-of-41 extra points and 17-of-21 field goals, he has also had four kicks blocked. Washington, Michigan State and Wisconsin all blocked Pretorius field goals and Minnesota blocked an extra point. Protection off the edge hasn't been the problem, because the blocks have come up the middle.

THE BIG TEN
with Jason Lloyd, Morning Journal Writer
11/09/2007

1. Overlooked in the surprise run at another national title game is the fact Ohio State has thoroughly dominated the Big Ten for the last three years. Regardless of how lousy the conference is this year, as the ABC broadcast team said toward the end of last weekend's broadcast, there's something to be said for consistently winning, week in and week out.

2. Vernon Gholston's relatively quiet season got much louder against Wisconsin. Gholston led the 10-sack barrage with four of his own. As offensive lineman Kirk Barton said, ''If you're not careful, he can tear your arm off.'' With a bench of 475 pounds, Gholston is the strongest player on the team.

OSU notebook: Individual awards can test team's focus

Friday, November 9, 2007 3:39 AM
By Ken Gordon

THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH

More than one player or coach thought Ohio State lost its focus last year between the Michigan and national championship games.
One contributing factor might have been all the awards that came the Buckeyes' way, from the Heisman Trophy for quarterback Troy Smith to the Nagurski Award for linebacker James Laurinaitis, and others.
So now, as this season winds down and numerous Buckeyes are up for awards, it has become a concern.

Though it's probably in bad taste to be thinking about next season in the midst of such a great one, if it's not human nature to dream about the future rather than fully live in the present, I don't know what is. So, with that in mind, here's a completely uninformed view of how things look with our underclassmen and the NFL:

Jenkins, Gholston - GONE

Boone, Laurinaitus - PROBABLY GONE, BUT SOME HOPE

Robiskie, Freeman - GOTTA HOPE WE CAN AT LEAST KEEP THESE TWO

But here's how I rank the ones that'd be toughest to lose, based mostly on the talent behind them:

1. Boone. Not much depth returning at tackle. I see Rehring moving out there with Browning taking over at guard, but we'd still need to fill Boone's spot from amongst Skinner or the incoming freshmen.

2. Robiskie. Has been incredible this year as the #1 receiver. The coaches seem to really like Hartline in the slot, so Small could have a lot of pressure on his shoulders to be the man out wide.

3. Laurinaitus. Arguably the most valuable of all the underclassmen, but there's great depth at linebacker, and I actually see Homan moving inside and taking over, though of course Spitler's there too.

Jenkins and Gholston are big difference makers, but both of those positions are stocked. At cornerback, Washington and Chekwa are experienced playmakers, and Amos and Clifford will be there as well. And at defensive end, we'd still have future star Heyward along with Wilson - who was looking like he'd have a breakout year - coming back. I also think Worthington and Rose would both be better suited for their talents to switch, with Doug moving outside and Rob inside, but of course trust the coaches to know what's best there.

Again, all complete speculation - just one man's view.
