2007 Signees That Failed To Qualify (Rivals)

Did Oregon State get anybody in?

Nope. 16 commits total, 13 "Delaying enrollment" and 3 "Did not qualify".

Something doesn't seem right with Oregon State's "Delaying enrollment". I just can't see an entire recruiting class of 16 commits not making it to campus...

Actually Oregon State had 35 SA sign LOI. Whereas Florida had recruits enroll early to be allowed to sign more than the maximum number, I'm guessing Oregon State "asked" those 13 who are delaying enrollment to come in later or grayshirt to count against next years class. If you look, all those delaying enrollment are lower ranked recruits. I imagine most will end up going somewhere else.

Somebody actually did that (CFN?).
When you bring in a bunch of guys and can re-evaluate them, you can sort out the best and wash out the rest.
That's what is going on in SEC country. And the kids suffer, but nobody seems to care.

Good question...I will see what I can find out...
All that has been previously reported is that it is due to "personal issues." Grades are not the reason. Could be something that changed on the home front, though Zook was tight lipped when asked - as he should be - still hopes to bring Matas into Champaign sometime in the future.

In a way it seems the rules actually help those teams/coaches who would play the recruiting game without a care for the kids.
No accountability.

I know and it is crap...the NCAA focuses on things like banning text messaging yet they allow something as serious as this to go on.
