Herbie for President
Hi all!! It's that time of year again (thank goodness, the off season seemed to drag on forever). Dryden and myself will run the pick'em contest this year (Dryden, thanks again for taking this task off my hands last year... Switching employers is something I hope I don't need to do again for a long, long time). As has been the case the last few years, you have to participate in over half the regular season weeks, and ALL of the bowl games to have your picks officially count for the contest.
In order to help us tabulate each weeks picks we request (really require
) you choose from the names provided for your picks, as opposed to listing mascots, nicknames, abbreviations, or something else entirely. It is FAR, FAR simpler to figure out how many a person has right if their post contains the 10 (11) teams they picked to win, and nothing else. Simply list the names for your picks in a column using the exact same team name that was provided as a choice in each Pick'em threads' first post (Dryden has an excel program that will not work if you misspell or use other names for each team).
The lines for week one have not been released yet; when they are released I'll post the games for week #1.
Edit: Here are the games for week number one (please type in the winning school as it is spelled in this thread):
Youngstown St. @ Ohio State (OSU -31.5)
Colorado St. @ Colorado (Colorado -2.5)
Georgia Tech @ Notre Dame (ND -2.5)
Nevada @ Nebraska (Nebraska -21.5)
Missouri @Illinois (Missouri -3.5)
Troy @ Arkansas (Arkansas -23.5)
Oklahoma St. @ Georgia (Georgia -6.5)
Tennesse @ California (Cal -5.5)
Arizona @ BYU (BYU -4.5)
Florida St. @ Clemson (FSU -3.5) (Monday night game)
Extra game (only used if one of the above games is cancelled):
