2007 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

Right, b/c next years first round pick was going to make or break this entire franchise....One draft pick in 9 years:shake:

LMAO!! 1st round picks make or break franchises in the cap era. Deal with it.

On that note -- whats the first thing they say about Cleveland come draft time? The last 1st round pro bowler we drafted was Eric Turner. Coincidence? Maybe. But I think not.

SO then it really shouldn't matter, right?

1st round drat picks do make a difference, but I hardly think losing one in nine years wil mean..."There's not going to be shit surrounding him on this team."

I'm going to go explain this to my 5 year old now b/c I think he will comprehend it better than you.

Considering that your logic is at his level, I'm sure he would understand it better. WTF does 9 years have to do with anything? It's hyperbole.
This team is where it's at because so many of their 1st round picks way back when were total busts. Now that we've thrown another one away, it's not going to get us anywhere.

B/c you're saying that this team will be shit by losing one draft pick since it came back into the league.

I've grown tired of this...get back on the short bus.

They're already shit. I'm saying they're not going to get any better by throwing 1st round picks away.

Are you forgetting that they got a pretty talented QB that some experts projected would go in the top 3 fat the 22nd pick. I realize that you aren't a Quinn fan, but I'm willing to see if he pans out before I talk about how dumb of a move this was.

For the millionth time -- Quinn has the potential to be a very good QB. But even if he pans out, theres not going to be anything around him, and we overpaid. You've yet to come up with anything other than mindless insults and hyperbole to counter that.

And how the hell can you say losing one pick will constitute "having nothing around him?" We have KW2, Braylon, Jamal Lewis, Steinbach, Thomas, Bentley, etc....and whomever else we draft this year and next minus one damned draft pick.

I think that is plenty more than mindless insults and hyperboles. Now explain to me how losing one draft pick means "having nothing around him."

Jamal Lewis is likely gone after next year. Don't se how you can count Bentley. At this point it's questionable if he even plays ever again. Braylon has yet to earn his salary.
Allow me to highlight the spots where we need players that can start and impact this team immediately: CB, DL, RB. That's without even building depth. This team is going nowhere fast.

You are out of your mind if you think this team isn't improving. Everybody said that we needed to build our line before we could draft a QB. They have done a pretty good job on that via free agency and the draft. There are plenty weapons on this team and they are far from having nothing but shitty players around Quinn whether you agree or not.

Theres a difference between having some bit players, and having a full team that can compete. Brady Quinn was not worth a 36 and top-5 pick. He is almost certainly not going to impact this team much next year. We could have got more value for our picks by holding onto them IMO.
As for improving, depends on what you consider improving. Better than a 3rd overall next year? Probably. But I don't see us getting past 15. That's not really an improvement (considering we had a 12th last year).
I also like how you keep trying to downplay the fact that we traded a 1st round pick (likely top-15, or better). You keep referring to it as "losing one draft pick" as if there is no difference between a 4th and 1st round.
