2007 NFL Draft (Projections/Mock Drafts/Evaluations/Draft)

I understand what you are saying but we'll see about ceilings and Kosar at Miami and Quinn at ND...not quite a comparison.

Exactly, there is no comparison. Kosar was a beast, he was the unequivocal leader of his team. So much so that he argued the coaches there. Just watch that monumental game against BC and Flutie. Without Kosar, that game is nowhere near as exciting and he did everything he could to win that game. You can't say that for Quinn in any game against a solid opponent, let alone a bowl game.
Quinn was the prettyboy of a mediocre team, and when they turned out to be mediocre everyone blamed everyone else around Quinn. Before this season started I seem to recall people claiming ND would have a ton of day-one picks. Quinn, Samasdlkfjas, McKnight, Walker, Abiamiri, Harris ... now theres just Quinn.

Who do you want them to take?
Quinn as a back-up QB :tongue2:
Seriously, it is a classic best available vs need conundrum, and as tibor hinted earlier - if Quinn were to have been chosen it might have dropped another option (perhaps LB) into the Bengals laps. (Posluszny is still there, but arguably still there later in the round so a reach).

CB is a need, and Hall is high on many boards. Bottom line, I just dread the thought of another under-performing TSUN product in Tiger stripes.

I don't get wtf the media is so high on Merriwether while they alternate talking about the draft and character issues. Gee... I wonder why the Titan's didn't pick him.
I'd honestly be surprised to see Merriwether in the first.

I must confess I don't consider myself a draft aficionado, in that I don't do mock drafts and pay that close attention to team needs on a league wide basis, but looking at the teams remaining in the 1st round, I can't see any of them taking Quinn.
I'm starting to agree with that....how funny would that be? Slipping from first round second overall to second round second pick to the Browns.
