Eugene Clifford in the only tOSU signee scheduled to play in this game. It will be on June 16th, the same day as the Ohio North-South Classic.

Rosters can be found in this link:

www.big33.org

They killed this game with having the other one on the same day. Going there as an OSU fan won't be fun for anybody if the Ohio team is as depleted as last years. PSU fans will be their typical selves.

Why are they playing these games on the same day? Why is it so difficult for them to resolve this issue? I know many people who would love to go to both games and it would be great to see OSU signees playing against the competition in both games.

In 2006 the game was moved from mid-late July to mid-late June due to the NCAA rule changes that made some coaches prohibit many players from these teams from playing in the game due to the closeness of the upcoming summer practices. This rule caused the game some hardships and put the game in jeopardy, but it is believed to be corrected. Also, the PA vs. OH series was in jeopardy because OH plays an East-West game in mid-late June and in 2006 it was said that "the best OH players weren't participating in the game". While OH said they were playing the best ones in the Big 33 and PA was saying the contrary, the two sides worked out the differences and the series itself is no longer in jeopardy.

Found this and thought it was pretty funny.

Speaking of Eugene Clifford, I take it most people here have watched some of his highlights? In my opinion, the kid is absolutely amazing and has all the potential to be the next big gamebreaker for the Bucks.

I wonder if JT will stick him at a different position like he did with Ginn, because it seems to me like he has good break-away speed and a nice jump on the ball.

Who knows though, we're pretty stacked at wideout and will probably be that way for awhile if JT keeps the spread going.

Clifford will start at CB!!! Which says worlds about his abilities! :yow1:

It's just a shame that the Ohio Big 33 squad will be a shadow of what it could have been without the North-South Game at the same time.
It will make things very difficult for the Ohio side to be competitive.
The Penn team is MUCH bigger!

Why does Ohio even play in it at all....Pennsylvania will not play a home and home so why even play at all?
I have better things to do with my time than to drive 5 or 6 hours every year to see just a (partial of the Ohio team) play the state of Pennsylvania
when Ohio has many great stadiums here at home to host this game every other year.:osu:

Exactly... PA created the date conflict, and seem to require everything on their terms. I love the big 33, but they've got to compromise as well.

Noticed this was coming up and I don't see Eugene's name on the Ohio roster. No OSU players in this game at all.
Wow. I'd imagine that's probably similar to Saine scratching his name from the N/S game, but still...

Here's to hoping Pryor, Hale, and Sweat all make the PA team next year so I can go back to this thing. I didn't go last year with the depleted roster...and I'm not going this year if there aren't any OSU guys at all.

Yep. Unfortunately the N/S game roster isn't exactly super exciting this year either.

Personally I'd like to see the N/S game played first ...and then pick a roster based on performance in the N/S. Then send that combined all-star team to kick some Keystone Ass.

That's a great idea, reward strong performances like Sutton or Stanzi.

The N/S game had nearly every OSU recruit, but despite their talent they are not as highly hyped as some commits. Losing Saine hurts the star power a bit, but I'm still excited to see all of our guys in person, especially guys like Pentello who have had this day circled for half a year (since his injury).
