Is there a rule that says you can only play in 1 post season all star game...or is the date the only conflict?

What was the reason that Ohio stopped sending it's top players to the game? I use to get really hype to see some of the top talent from the state of Ohio, but ever since last year it seemed like the talent has become very weak and considering the PA selections are very biased (Mainly PSU and Pitt kids get picked for the game), the game has lost a lot of it's appeal IMO.
I still remember going to the 2004 and my buddy telling me about this Ginn guy (I didn't follow recruiting back then, so I had no idea who he was) and how he was the defintion of a shutdown CB. Needless to say, he didn't disappoint and it stinks that I'll probably never get to see another Ohio kid of his caliber compete in that game again.

I don't think there's an official reason... but I suspect Ohio got sick of being pushed around (date, location, etc), and then 'happened' to send too few elite (ie OSU-caliber) kids. This was somewhat noticeable last year, and a pretty clear message this year... imo.
From what I've heard from both sides, there has been way too much drama and politics instead of what was once a great sporting event.

Last year was the first year the Big 33 was moved to the same day as the N/S game. That's why the talent level dropped off. After last year's debacle, Ohio agreed to field a more competitive B33 team, but that didn't happen. Ohio coaches are protective of their game, the N/S, even though it doesn't get as much attention as the B33.
Ohio is going to get killed again (even though that PA team doesn't impress me at all), and my guess is the PA B33 people will look elsewhere next year. Maybe to Maryland or a non-bordering state. I heard some rumblings that Wisconsin is real interested in coming down.
Personally given a choice between the N/S in its current form or the old B33, I'd go with the B33 anyday. The N/S gets no attention outside of a few small pockets of Ohio, and in my opinion it's more interesting to go against a different state's best. PA will never agree to play the B33 in Ohio for obvious reasons, but it's still a more interesting event in my eyes, if Ohio would send our best.

Part 2 of Brandon Castel's fantasy draft for next year's Big 33...this time looking at the defense.
My thoughts: On offense, PA clearly has the best QB in Pryor but OH would likely sweep every other category, with the exception of the WR/TE battle between Stoney and Baldwin. On defense, Williams and Koger would likely give OH an edge along the DL, but PA would dominate the LB category (Sweat/Hale/Wilson vs. Beachum/Zordich/Staples). PA probably would have a slightly better secondary with the likes of Holley/Moody vs. Woods/McCarthy...although I think Brandon made a mistake using Cordale as the third WR rather than as one of his safeties/LBs. Someone like Teddy Robb, Trey Fairchild, Bakari Bussey or Roy Roundtree could have easily filled that third WR spot and left Scott on defense.
