Change of plans

"It's a big change of plans," Galen Dills said with a laugh late Thursday night. "I didn't expect it at all."
All but locked down to college plans that included an athletic career at Eastern Michigan University since the middle of his senior year of high school, a misunderstanding, a chance meeting and a surprise e-mail put some serious spin on the recent Unioto grad's future.
And Thursday it became official: Galen Dills is a Buckeye.
"It was extremely unexpected," Dills said of his signing to run track and cross country for Ohio State University this fall.
OSU had not even been in the recruiting picture during Dills' final season with the Shermans.
When Dills chose Eastern Michigan from a long list of suitors, the school was not offering him a scholarship, so he chose to not sign a National Letter of Intent, just to be safe.
