2006 Spring Game info/discussion

Plus you have to figure that Wells will be the most anticipated player from both teams next weekend.. If he does well the croud would definatly be paying closer attention to the team he was on and maybe the team would be able to feed off of that energy..jus a thought??

Steve Helwagen of Bucknuts says that the Spring Game Draft will be held Wed. afternoon, and Bucknuts will have a report on it around 5 p.m.

Hopefully we'll have some tidbits from some of our "insiders" before then though. :osu:

I'd take Haw over Mo Wells any day of the week.
in the jersey scrimmage, haw had one big run late in the game against some backups... before that run MWells was definitely better (and for the most part... MWells was going against the first team, EHaw against the third).
despite the fact that Beanie might have the most upside, I think that they draft EHaw, MWells, then Beanie.

The seniors, I think, will trust maturity and gametime experience over a couple of impressive practices.
beanie was a superstar in the jersey scrimmage. Maurice and Erik were solid for the most part. A couple fumbles does not negate an obvious discrepancy in talent.

I agree w/much of what you said, but not w/your LB projections. IMO, the order is
1. Freeman
2. Terry
3. Laurinaitis
4. Grant
5. Homan
6. Spitler
7. Hoobler
8. Robinson

i dont really agree with some of this line up either. lol

1. Freeman
2.Grant
3/4. Laurinaitis - these could be either way. Homan is amazing! Laurinaitis is amazing! both a really excitement to watch.
5. Terry
6. Spitler
7. Robison
8. Hoobler

Best of luck goes out to D'Andrea. would love to see him play this year!

Despite the good things I have heard about the corners on the team, I have to think that corner will be opened first because of the depth and discrepency (probably) between Jenkins and everyone else. I don't see WR or RB opened up early because we have a ton of depth at both spots.... although Teddy's talent could be tough to pass on. I also think you will see LB opened early and maybe OL... although OL might be a position where Tress keeps things balanced.

GO BUCKS!!! ~SB~

If I remember correctly they restricted how much Teddy could be used last year in the spring game. He was only allowed to play in 'x' ammount of plays and they were only allowed to call certain plays to him. If it's anything like that again this year, I would think that there would be no hurry to draft him.
