2006 Scout Top 100 (Updated 1/23/06)

it was in quotes so i assumed he wrote it because i would figure scout would of corrected a spelling error by one of the writers on a top 50 prospect. However, i thought it was funny and i guess you dont, so nevermind.

it was just a typo, not a spelling error. he just transposed the l and the a

I recall that Joshua Tatum is related to the Assassin, I think nephew is correct

Man I still cannot believe that Coleman never got any love. I guess he is just going to have to prove it on the field.

So by my count Ohio ended up with 8 guys in the top 100.

Very suprised to see that Joe Thomas is in there. Could be the want to hype up Pitt's class a little bit, we all know Bob has those affiliations with Pitt.

I also believe that Ballard, Chichester, Cumberland were in there earlier in the year.

I think there were 13 guys in the first list.

Yeah, the first one had 13: (from wadc on page 2)

Seems the list is pretty set now. The Ohio boys check in as follows:

#3 Chris Wells
#21 Connor Smith
#28 Justin Boren
#36 Jeff Cumberland
#47 Thad Gibson
#55 Ross Homan
#60 Josh Chichester
#66 Lee Tilley
#68 Jake Ballard
#73 Aaron Brown
#79 Kurt Coleman
#80 Ray Small
#81 Cobrani Mixon

Larry Grant would figure to be high on that list if Jucos were included as well. What a LB class already, and even moreso if Grant comes onboard.

read scout publications, there are often typos. And unless the recruit is emailing the writer, they are likely transcribing a telephone conversation.

My thoughts exactly. Coleman is a 5 star in my mind and if you just see him play one game you would share the same feelings. If you saw him play 3 times, then you would know he is a 5 star talent. Also my thoughts on Thomas. I think Lichtenfels had a little bit of a say in putting Thomas that high. He is a good player but not sure if he is a top 100 player and don't think he would be if he would have pulled the switch to OSU.

I expect that with this day we shall (for the moment) tack .05 to the average class * rating on Scout, and move ahead of Penn State in the Team recruiting rankings. (Right now the list is stuck on 20 commits for Penn State, 18 for Ohio State).
