2006 NBA draft thoughts

The list continues to grow...

UCLA's Arron Afflalo and Jordan Farmar both declared to go pro today. Neither one will hire an agent, so there is still a chance they could come back.

SI

I saw a poll where the people in the pac-10 voted Farmar as the most overrated player in the conference. He would be a last second round pick if he would even get drafted. By guess is he just wants to test the waters a little and see where he is at.

Well now that the Cavs season is over...

What do you guys think about the draft? It appears we have more needs now than we did heading into the play-offs, thanks to Z.

We definetly need a point guard. I dont think we should get rid of Eric Snow, because he is a good defender, but I would prefer that he came off of the bench. With Gooden all but gone we need a physical power forward.

We also need some bench help and good 3-point shooters. Jones and Marshall both had their bright spots this season, but they were disappointments and inconsistent.

I would be thrilled with that pick as a Cavs fan.

Jordan Farmar is a fairly unknown name, thanks to playing on the West Coast, but he is a very good shooter.

EDIT: I also think that Redick is a great fit in Orlando, especially with all the double teams in the post that Dwight Howard will draw in the future.

I agree 100%. I'm jumping on the Orlando bandwagon next year for my second team (Mostly due to Darko) I think they have taken the right steps to build a great team, possibly as soon as next year; as opposed to my Bulls, who I see improving, but not as much as a team should with a potential 2 and 15 pick. Maybe it is just something that will be said everyyear post-King James draft, but this class looks weak to me. The Bulls need some more big men. Chandler is possibly the softest, most over-paid bigman in the league. It's a shame the Bulls won't have a chance at Greg Oden, they could be an instant contender if there was a guy like him available at the number 2 pick, but there isn't.
