2006 BCS, polls, Bowl Predictions and computer ratings

On a more general note, anyone else notice the deafening silence this year from jack-offs like John Saunders, who basically had to wear a condom on the air because of how excited the BCS "getting it right" made him last year? Not hearing a lot of BCS is the greatest thing since fire now...where are all of those people?

They can't tout the BCS now that it's on Fox.......but the Rose Bowl kicks ass!!!

I know, not directly, but it wasn't just Saunders...it was all of the assclowns on ESPN and everyone else that was saying the BCS was just freaking awesome...funny how they're crying again this year.

I caught Saunders on the Sports Reporters on Sunday morning and he was still contending there is nothing wrong with the BCS. I thought Bob Ryan and Mike Lupica were both going to have heart attacks screaming about it. I can't remember who was clamoring for a playoff, but Saunders said you just had one and it ended yesterday.

I can't stand The Sports Reporters. Lupica and Ryan collectively know jack and shit about college football. The moment either of those two deviate from debating about their own NY vs NE pro sports franchises and rivalries, they're completely lost.

Dick Schaap would roll over in his grave if he knew what a traveshamockery his 'baby' had become.

Someone get this man a GPA stat!!!!!!

I've only caught the sports reporters twice and it made me want to puke. Bob Ryan, Jason Whitlock, Screamin' A. Smith, John Saunders, Mike Lupica, and the rest of those asshats should be thrown into a fire.

Great find on the Harris Poll schmoe, Jim Walden, who voted Florida #1.

http://www.wholehogsports.com/adg/172550/

On November 10:

[...] Walden said Texas would still deserve to be rated higher than every other one-loss team if it wins out because the Longhorns' only loss was to No. 1 Ohio State.

"You're never going to get me to vote for one team ahead of a team that?s only lost to the best team in the country," Walden said.

Then there's this gem ...

http://desmoinesregister.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061204/SPORTS02/61204028

"I have always thought the SEC was the whiniest bunch, who are under the mistaken belief that they have invented football and I have never met Urban Henry," said Walden, mistakenly confusing Florida coach Urban Meyer for a Lombardi-era Green Bay Packer defensive lineman. "I have been drinking a lot of Alka-Seltzer today."

Watching Sports Reporters now, and they're still debating Florida vs U-M.

I have a question. Does Mitch Albom keep The Beatles hair-cut to hide the fact that his ears are on sideways?

And how many teams did his beloved TSUN jump on their way to #2? By his logic, TSUN should never have made it to #2 in the first place...

What a friggin hypocrite...

I saw that too, and I was disgusted with how Albom looked like such a big baby, still crying about the BCS a week later. Let it go, Mitch.
