Game Thread (2004) Game Seven: Indiana - 10/23/04 (W, 4-3/1-3)

yep, troy definitely throws a good ball. but he isn't making good decisions just yet. the td for ginn "should" have been a td for iu. he put up another one on our second td drive that could have been a pick. we'll call them growing pains for now.

Both Steve Rehring and Dionte Johnson were in on that 1st and 10.

That's two redshirts gone. I'm liking it. If they have grown to become the better player than they should be on the field. If we were 6-0 and things had gone fairly well this year then you might save them, but if they can help the team now to turn this season respectable, I'm glad Tress is willing to do it.

We're not going to know anything about Smith as a starter after this week as far as I'm concerned. First start works against him, against one of the worst teams in the Big Ten (in the country?) works for him. Nonetheless, he just has to look okay for those with their tongues in his ass to declare themselves geniuses.

I'm more interested in our OL and D this week. And neither are impressive. Also interested in discipline, and there hasn't been much yet.

I do hope Pittman locks down the starting job this week. It's been a while since we've seen an OSU RB break out of a tackle.

100% agree.

Interesting how Smith is already being put in a can't win position...

By the way, Indiana did beat Oregon on the road, and took that NW Wildcats team to overtime just like us, so let's not count our chickens.

Agreed...Smith himself is hard to judge this week but what is your take on the team's response this week? There seems to be more effort all around...

The substitutions might light a fire...that is what I am looking for
