Fox will definitely be a big loss, but EJ has started several games in his career and I believe Ginn will be the best shutdown corner since deion sanders starting next year, so I think we have proven guys who can step in there.... Fox is a big part of our D and is VERY good, but Nuge has been the best kicker in college for the last 3 years so I don't think it's any contest as to who would be the bigger loss..... Nothing at all against Fox, he's always been much better than many would give him credit for.

Good god it's hot in Kuwait.

The breakdown in our secondary was immense during the time Fox was out. We will have to wait and see if another kicker steps up for us a la Andy Groom & BJ Sander.

yep, fox's importance to the secondary has less to do with skill and more to do with leadership. the guys behind him are only slightly lower on the skill level imo. but fox is a leader. with him in the game the secondary plays with a lot more confidence i think.

Need to work on our TACKLING... wrap em up. We still need to learn how to get off the field on third down, especially third and long. Sure would like to see the refs throw the flag on PSU for holding on occasion. O-line is looking decent and we have had some nice runs.

Need to come out and score to start the second half and put the dagger into them....

We need to tighten up our pass defense on 3rd and longs...we've been giving up first downs via the pass on those downs all year long, and they wear on a defense. We also gotta quit missing so many fuckin' tackles. No way should Penn State have half the yardage, and the 7 points, they have.

The OL looks good in run blocking for the most part...the couple runs we got stuffed on was because PSU cheated up on the line. When PSU plays a normal defense, we can run pretty well against them.

We need a pash rush without blitzing.
We have no pass rush without the blitz.
Our d-line has tackling issues.

Great pick by Everett. That was a great read, and react.

We really need to give up the QB draw too.
Maybe if he bounced outside it would work better. But QB draw up the gut hasn't worked yet.

The offense still concerns me the most but the D is doing the SOS. Poor tackeling/bad angles/no pass rush and soft zone on 3rd and long. What's PSU at now almost 50% 3rd down conversion?

It looks like some small baby steps of improvement by the O but the D isn't progressing much imo.

the d is progressing i think. the defense is playing more agressive and the guys are being given more responsibility to get things done. with more responsibility young guys make more mistakes. ive seen some horrible angles and some badly blown coverages. but i have seen some very smart play by those same guys. guys like schlagel are really starting to get their heads in the game. i think things are coming together. just very slowly.

I have to disagree although it is a disagreement with word choice...I haven't seen any blown coverages but a cover 2 without a consistent pass rush and a safety forced to split the difference on vertical routes. tyler has been lucky twice by getting over late....

Gotta get more heat up front

These commentators suck.. the dude just said "There's hall for 5 yards", when it was actually Joe. He mis ID'd some others like earlier he said "The LB Kudla".. I mean COME ON, damn.
Ya, Brent's off his game today. Makes me sad :(. He was good v. Wisconsin, but I was too busy smashing shit.
