Game Thread (2004) Bowl Game: MasterCard Alamo Bowl - Oklahoma State - 12/29/04 (W, 8-4/4-4)

If they have set tickets aside, can't you buy them from that teams website once it is released on who is going?
Depends on the school...my guess would be yes, since most schools can't come anywhere near selling their allotment (probably 15-20k tickets, but I don't know for sure)

I haven't seen anything posted on it anywhere but does anyone know who will be the home team and the visitor for the Alamo Bowl?
Here's the answer from www.alamobowl.com

The 2004 MasterCard Alamo Bowl will again match two of the nation's top conferences as the Big 12 and Big Ten collide in the Alamo City. Bonus: Purchase game tickets with a MasterCard prior to November 21 and you will receive a complimentary game program. The Big Ten is considered the Home Team, with seating located on the East side (press box side) and North end zone.

Location: The Alamodome
Date/Time: Wednesday, December 29, 2004 7 p.m.

I bought my 2003 Fiesta Bowl tickets from the K-State website before OSU dropped their season ticket requirement. Not a bad deal but I now have K-State spam in my email box.

If we get enough people to say they are neutral (not affiliated with the Buckeyes) we can fill up parts of the opposing sides seats before the BIG12 opponent is announced. If you don't mind possibly sitting among the opposing fans, then it will help our "look" in the game. I sat among F$U fans in the Sugar awhile back, and it wasn't horrible. There were enough tOSU fans amongst us that I wasn't the Lone Stranger there.

Alamo Opponent?

Is there any scenario where OSU would be matched up against Texas? That would an incredible turn of events if it could happen--it would set up a perfect preview to the upcoming home-and-away the next two years.

And for all those fans who travel, the girls at UT (and A&M) are smoking (and tan, and nice, and drunk).

Well, since UT beat A&M doesn't that make the chances of an OSU vs OSU matchup the most probable?
I would hate having to play an offense like Oklahoma State's. Donovan Woods scares me. But it's better than playing Texas. (at least until next year, when they won't have Benson and Johnson)

After last Saturday's performance I'm ready to watch the Buckeyes take on all challengers.

We just need a back or an offensive set that can pound it in once we reach the ten yardline. It all seemed to come together during the Purdue game, while there were some serious flashes of lightning during MSU.

Both sides of the ball really seem to feed off of one another's success.

My mind is still seriously boggled by what took place. Don't care who we play, it's just window dressing for next season's preseason polls. I think we're looking at a top 10 ranking. If Teddy houses another one, and we win nicely, the CFB media will be glazing Buckeye jock up until kickoff next fall.
