Quarterback:
Krenzel was a great leader, Boekman is probably a better QB... Its Krenzel until Todd wins a Ch'p

Running Back:
2007 - Chris Wells, Maurice Wells, Brandon Saine... 3 playable backs, 2 of which I like as much as pre-meltdown Mo Clarett.

Fullback:
2002 - Branden Joe, Brandon Schnittker
Brandon Joe was the best FB since Sualua  (and I like to support OCC kids)

Wide Receiver
2007 - Brian Robiskie, Brian Hartline, Ray Small, et al
DEPTH... I feel like any of our receivers down to the freshmen could play WR on that 2002 team.

Tight End
2007 - Rory Nicol, et al
I like our depth at TE on this team better than 2002 as well.

Offensive Line
Not sure yet.... I would have instantly said 2002, except this line has really been getting better every game and is nearly as dominant as they should be... of course, 2002 held up against that Miami team... I'll need more games here.

Defensive Line
2002 - Darrion Scott, Tim Anderson, Kenny Peterson, Will Smith -
The 2007 line is so young, its not fair to compare the two. When all is said and done, the 2007 line might be as good. They certainly have the athetic potential, especially when you add the depth of Larrimore, Heyward and even Gibson... its a scarily athletic crew.

Linebackers
2007 - Marcus Freeman, James Laurinaitis, Larry Grant
Again, its the depth... our LBs are the class of college football right now. I can't wait for the nation to see this as the last 5 games will all be broadcast nationally.

Defensive Backs
2007 - Malcolm Jenkins, Donald Washington, Kurt Coleman, Anderson Russell, Chimdi Chekwa... either this backfield or 1998.

Kicker
NUUUUUUUGE!!!

Punter
2002 - Andy Groom
2007 - AJ Trapasso
Push - both are very good

QB: 2007; ESPIN pointed out in their power rankings CK had 12 TD passes in 02 in 14 games, TB has 14 in 6.

RB: 2007; Depth, but at this point if between 02 Mo and 07 Beanie it's easily Mo.

WR: 2007; At this point I'm not sure that Robiskie isn't Jenkins and the rest are definitely better than 02.

TE: 2007; Depth, I also might argue Nicol is as dependable as Hartsock, just need less.

OL: 2007; MoC made that line look good.

DL: 2002; The most obvious pick to me.

LB: 2007; The second most obvious pick.

DB: 2007; I like Doss, but the rest of 07 is playing better than the rest of 02 was. Gamble was good but he certainly wasn't Jenkins yet (maybe even Washington).

K: Nuge; Okay, I lied earlier this is the most obvious pick.

P: Groom; So, maybe that was twice I lied.
