Usually the best thing to do is rehost the photo somewhere else. Imageshack is great for this because they let you copy directly from a URL without downloading & re-uploading the pic.

That way you aren't "stealing" anyone's bandwidth.

Not anymore, you can copy the URL directly.

I think they only added that feature within the last six months or so however.
