1. How old were you when you first started playing football?
CJ: Six, six years old.
2. What position are most schools recruiting you to play and what position would you like to play?
CJ: Well, they’re recruiting me as a quarterback and I would like to play quarterback. A lot of schools are recruiting me as an athlete but I would like to play quarterback.
3. What would you say is your biggest strength on the football field?
CJ: My decision making, pretty much.
4. What things, if any, do you think you need to work on to become a better player?
CJ: Pretty much everything, you know. I feel like I need to work on everything. I never feel like I’m at my peak, I feel like I always can improve.
5. Is there any NFL or college player you model your game after?
CJ: Marvin Harrison. I just like his attitude, his modest attitude. He does what he’s got to do and he doesn’t really say nothing about it. He’s kind of quiet.
6. Are most of the colleges going to let you play pretty much wherever you want to?
CJ: Yeah. At Ohio State, I was playing receiver and quarterback there but they offered me as a quarterback…that’s what Coach Hazell told me.
7. Do you play any other sports besides football?
CJ: Basketball. I play the 1 and the 2.
8. What factors are you going to consider when making your visits to the different schools?
CJ: The atmosphere, the area of the college and really if I could come in and play or not.
9. Last year, Ohio State had 14 players drafted into the NFL. Is that an important factor in your decision?
CJ: I really didn’t even know that. But since you told me, that makes a big difference. My goal is to be in the NFL. That’s pretty much a big deal to me.
10. I know you play down South where it’s pretty warm. Do you think playing in cold weather would be a problem?
CJ: It doesn’t matter. I could play anywhere.
11. Who is recruiting you and how often does he contact you?
CJ: Coach Hazell. He hasn’t contacted me lately, but I think he’s going to start after Sept. 1.
12. When someone mentions Ohio State to you, what comes to mind?
CJ: Football, actually.
13. Playstation 2 or X-Box? What’s your favorite game?
CJ: Playstation 2. Madden and NCAA. I play with Philadelphia and Atlanta. In the college, Miami and USC. And Ohio State.
14. What’s your favorite subject in school and do you have any idea what you want to major in?
CJ: My favorite subject right now is, I would say, English. And I would like to major in sports medicine.
15. Who’s your favorite athlete (doesn’t have to be football)?
CJ: That’s a good question. My favorite athlete would be….Marvin Harrison.
16. Do you have a favorite website?
CJ: Yeah, Rivals. I check that one out all the time, but they don’t have my picture up yet.
17. What’s your favorite movie? TV show?
CJ: My favorite movie is He Got Game. And my favorite TV show is Martin.
18. What’s currently in your CD player and who are some of your favorite artists/bands?
CJ: Currently in my CD player is Young Buck and Lloyd Banks and G-Unit. My favorite is PI.
19. Speaking of music, at the end of every game at Ohio State, the team salutes the band by singing Carmen Ohio. Are you a good singer?
CJ: I would say on a scale of 1-10 I’d be a 6 or a 5, something like that.
20. What is one thing in particular you’d like Buckeye fans to know about you?
CJ: That I’m a very hard worker and I’m a good student.
