Ryan Kalkbrenner scheduled an official visit, four unofficials

during a very busy first week in august, kalkbrenner will take unofficial visits (in order) to cincy, osu, purdue, and then northwestern. he'll then take his first senior official to stanford.

Ohio State will host Ryan Kalkbrenner, a four-star center prospect for the class of 2020, on an unofficial visit Sunday.

A 6-foot-11, 210-pound center, Kalkbrenner is preparing for his senior season at St. Louis (Missouri) Trinity Catholic. He earned a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes in mid-June to add to a list of suitors that also includes Illinois, Purdue, Cincinnati, Xavier, Creighton and Kansas State, among others.

In the 247Sports.com composite database, Kalkbrenner is listed as the No. 3 recruit from Missouri, the No. 13 center in the nation and overall No. 77 prospect.

Ohio State has one available scholarship for the class of 2020 and has been looking to add some size to its roster for the class.

on top of the unofficial to osu, my guess is kalkbrenner will spend an official visit on a gameday saturday in columbus this fall. wouldn't expect otherwise from a buckeye football fan.

despite illinois having the majority of the crystal balls, word is they're out of the race. makes sense because illinois just picked up an unheralded 2019 center a few days ago. throw in giorgi along with kofi at the post, and that's too much congestion underneath.

purdue looks to be the favorite for kalk, though stanford may be right there. no smoke regarding osu. if purdue picks up kalk, then that may increase our chances with loveday, however incrementally.

as long as we get someone, i'm good with it. i like loveday and even key more than kalk. i actually like key a lot. i prefer ware and williams, too, but either would surprise me more as a buckeye commit than the aforementioned two.
