TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Organizers of a coming out party for a brand new 1957 Plymouth Belvedere could use some help. The car, buried under the lawn of the Tulsa County Courthouse in 1957, is scheduled to be unearthed June 15 as part of the Oklahoma Centennial. Promoters are looking for people who helped lower the car into its crypt in 1957 to perhaps shed some light on what to expect when the car is unearthed.

Seeing as it's a Plymouth, It will probably be noisy and have minor mechanical problems all the time. :)

It depends, if it's been sealed into something it should be fine, but if it's had all the moisture from the dirt getting to it, then well, it's probably rusted to death.

I'd have to imagine that it was given to the city as a promotional thing. Good PR, then and now...if the dealership is still around.
