'19 MI CG Harlond Beverly (Miami Verbal)

His perimeter shot is a set shot with the ball shot from a low position at chest level and not above his head.

In major college ball, that can get blocked and also difficult to get off with tough defenders.
Kid has some skills :biggrin2: and I really do not care where his release point is on his shot because the ones that I saw all went into the basket so that is fine with me. He will find ways to get that shot off without it being blocked. Trust me:wink:

Edit: I just looked at some of his offers and other coaches must not be as concerned about his release point either.

* Harlond Beverly, PG (Southfield, Michigan): If you follow the visits, it feels like Beverly is the top guard on Ohio State's board right now. Chris Holtmann has been up to see the No. 61 overall player in the class and nation's No. 6 point guard twice in the last month. That included an in-home visit on Monday. He was in Columbus last November, when the Buckeyes offered. Michigan State an Xavier are among the schools in the mix for the 6-foot-4 prospect.

per brian snow, beverly will take an unofficial to osu next weekend. msu has been expected to be the favorite; however, with jalen wilson likely committing to ttun this week, msu may be the favorite for rocket watts. i may be wrong, but i think msu is looking at a 2-player class, with one being a guard and another being a forward or post player. if so, our chances for beverly could increase. i'd be extremely happy with either carton, sturdivant, or beverly. a class of c/s/b, gaffney, and liddell would be dynamite.

just caught this piece of news from five days ago. those on the msu side are feeling less and less optimistic about beverly going green; although, they are probably feeling more optimistic about josiah james, especially if/when cole anthony commits to duke. anyway, i'm not predicting that we'll get beverly, but if i'm pushed to project a class, it would be beverly, gaffney, and liddell.
