Florida and Georgia have been the two schools in the mix with Richardson early on. Ohio State’s staff has been on him just as long as they are started recruiting him at Butler and haven’t let up one bit since arriving in Columbus. Last month, the Georgia native had Gonzaga, Miami and Oregon join the mix.

Ohio State: “I’ve been really close with that staff since they were at Butler. They were one of the first staffs to call me my sophomore year when coaches could start calling. I’ve built more of a relationship with the coaching staff there more than the school.”

Richardson said he’s in the process of trimming down his list right now and should be setting up some visits very soon. His current plan is to take four visits before committing, but he’s going to save one just in case he needs another down the road. If all goes well on any particular trip, he’s not opposed to ending his recruitment quicker. It looks like he’ll be committed by the end of September.
RIVALS' REACTION
Richardson didn’t want to put out the schools, but said he has about six schools in mind right now that he’s still considering. After talking to him, the schools we talked about above are probably a safe guess to be the schools he’s still open to. Relationships appear to be a big factor for Richardson along with being given the opportunity to play point guard, so look for Florida, Georgia and Ohio State to be the schools that get the most traction here.
