Crazy that he doesnt have a list of stronger offers, but things seem to be picking up. Utah offered a few days ago, and now the Bucks, but before that the likes of ASU, Boise St and UNLV. Had a big trip to Vegas, averaging 29.6 over an eight game tournament. Happy to see Holt recruiting wherever he needs to.

Four-star Bryce Hamilton talks in-homes with Arizona State and UNLV

Four-star shooting guard Bryce Hamilton had in-home visits with Arizona State and UNLV this weekend and is looking forward to visiting each campus. The Sun Devils and Runnin' Rebels are two of Hamilton's final six, with Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Ohio State making up his finalists.

Hamilton plans on taking all five of his official visits to UNLV, Arizona State, Colorado, Ohio State, and Utah but hasn't scheduled anything yet. He's comfortable with all five programs and is just looking for that home feeling when he's on a visit. "When I start to take my official visits I’m just looking for a place where I feel like I’m at home and I just want to take a closer look at the campus and the teams," Hamilton said.

RIVALS REACTION

The fact that ASU and UNLV got in early for an in-home visit gives them a slight edge over the rest of schools but a lot can change between now and his official visits. Hamilton said he plans on making a decision before his high school season starts so look for an announcement to come before November.

He says he wants to take his visits and that OSU will be one of them. He still has plenty of time to schedule them.

I definitely tend to think Hamilton stays out West and won't consider him real serious about OSU until he schedules a visit, but that could still happen.

A little surprised they'd still consider him since he is not even considered a combo G by anyone - strictly 2G/shooter. Noah Locke was a stretch for a combo, who might play some point, but Hamilton isn't even that - and PG is still the most glaring need on this team ( both Washington and Muhammad are more 2s than 1s really ). Rather they get a visit from Ramey at this point, pun intended.

I guess it does not bother me that he is not classified, whatever that means, as a pure PG. If he can shoot and handle the ball, I have no problems in taking him along with Washington and Muhammed. I mean was Turner classified as a pure PG or even a PG when we recruited him years back. I think a guy that can play the 2 could learn to play the point pretty easily. As long as he can put the ball in the basket I am fine with taking him if he wants in. Now if Ramey wants in, he needs to visit. I have no idea what is going on with Weaver if you are looking for a PG.

It took until his 3rd year to be somewhat of a PG. He was a great ball handler for his size and could create his own offense. His assist numbers were solid (5.8), but also had turnover issues (4). He was a viable point option, but wasn't close to ideal for the position. We might get lucky with someone becoming a good lead guard, but I think we should be targeting an established lead guard and Ramey would be the best option (Richardson a decent option).

he was ideal for osu.

as long as the next commitment is a decent ballhandler, i think we'll be fine. muhammad, washington, and even jallow are all solid ballhandlers. throw in a fourth and i think the necessity for a lead guard is greatly diminished. i think the greater need anyway is not so much for a floor general on offense but someone who guards the point on defense. muhammad can be that guy, but it would be nice to have another so that he can guard a scoring 2 or even 3. ramey is a good defender up top, but i'm doubtful that richardson is that fleet of foot. richardson reminds me a bit of russell. on offense, they don't blow by you but instead prod you for weaknesses and exploit them. kind of like turner. on defense, they just don't have the reactionary quickness to guard speedy 1s.
